Excellent product for my rescue dog's fear of storms, having been in a hurricane.
I adopted a rescue dog last year, a Labrador who had been through Hurricane Ian and then landed up in a shelter in my part of the world, and he had zero tolerance for storms at first. I realized very quickly what was going on and ordered some hemp chews for him then, which worked very well, so I ordered this brand to compare the two and see if one worked better than the other. So far, they work very much the same. However, if you read the fine print on the back of the label on this jar, you'll find that there are vitamins like B12, which can be helpful with anxiety, and other ingredients that help calm your dog down along with the hemp. These work very well, and someone is about to have one or two of these as a bedtime snack because we have a severe T-storm watch. The dosage chart for these treats is as follows: "25 Lbs or less, 2 chews daily; 26-75 Lbs, 4 chews daily; 75 Lbs or more, 6 chews daily." My dog weighs 90 pounds, and if I gave him six chews daily, he'd be comatose!! I gave him four the first time, and he was sleepy for three days, but he was calm and the storm didn't bother him.Now I give him two at a time, and I start early because he knows at least 24 hours ahead of time that a storm is coming. Somehow now he knows it will be okay and that he won't ever be alone during a storm, since the ladies across the way both love him and will look out for him if I'm ever required to be gone with a storm coming. This is an excellent product that contains hemp oil, chamomile, vitamin B12, and other healthy vitamins and supplements to alleviate stress, whether it's for thunderstorms, fireworks, separation anxiety - my dog has that too - anything that causes your dog distress or anxiety. He may show this by becoming a little doggie whirlwind or by getting very quiet, but all my dog has to do is sniff the air 24 hours before a storm. He cuts way down on his visits outside, and he stays closer to me than usual. He's learned, through what I've taught him, to go to the center of the house if there's a storm. I forgot to tell him to come get me first, since I'm deaf, and if I'm working in my office I won't know what's going on.I honestly feel that this is a very good product, as I've seen it relieve my dog's obvious anxiety, but I also think the dosages given here are too high by at least twice what your dog really needs, and, if you give him enough to conk him out completely, that may be too much. If I give my 90-pound dog three of these, which I won't do again but did the first time, he'll be wide-eyed and anxious the next day, too, from how the hemp treats made him feel. So I give him two before storms, and he does very well. Just watch your dog's reaction and try to give him or her as little as it takes to relieve anxiety or stress. This is an excellent product for separation anxiety and particularly thunderstorm anxiety for my dog.

Seems to Work
This is my first experience with this product. My rescue has severe separation anxiety that makes her occasionally have accidents in the house and engage in minor destructive behavior such as getting into the garbage. She seems to really enjoy these chews and I definitely notice that she is calmer and lethargic after taking them. Her light snoring is often indicative of just how relaxed she is. I deducted a star because ever since I have begun giving her these chews, I have noticed that she seems to have increased instances of reverse sneezing. Nothing besides the fact that I have introduced these chews into her diet has changed about her routine.

Your Mileage May Vary
My dog does not handle grooming very well. Whenever I get near her paws, she starts to panic. I got these treats to try to help in that process. The results? Mixed. My dog clearly loves the treats. She was nipping at my heels as I was opening the container. However, she is not yet noticeably calmer after taking them. When I gave her the pills before groomer, it did knock her out... She was even snoring, which she doesn't normally do... But when I woke her up for the grooming, she didn't really seem any calmer.

This is our second tub as I have found that it is really helpful for rescue dog training
Long review that may be of help for your situation (or not). This is my second tub. I have this in beef flavor that I reviewed a few weeks ago, and am now trying this in chicken. I am pasting that information here with additional information, which I will start with. I was about to order another tub when this came up as a Vine option (nothing is actually free). I ordered another because I find that these really work well when used as part of daily supplementation. My original review was done when I was about 1 week in.Now that it has been a month, or about an entire containers worth, I find them a valuable part of our daily routine. I give between 2 to 4 chews all at once, or divided into a couple of doses. Nothing else has changed with the original review other than to say that we have been using it daily for a month, and it has helped her to focus and calm the eff down as it applies to over stimulation. She seems confident and happy as she learns the ropes. She is much better in her crate. she is crated most days for 3-4 hours, late morning. So I give this to her along with breakfast. She plays a bit, then in ready for a nap. She will nap, then have a potty and play a little, then is good for some crate time. The general calm is good for most of the day. I can tell when it wears off as she is non stop goofy for a few hours. I am fine with energy, but it is during this early acquaintance and learning the household, rules, and expectations that the added help towards calm and focus is important. She is not as freaked over vacuum or other loud noises. Less need to react to every noise. Etc.OK, back to original review (just pasted):---------------------------------------------------------------------------"for optimal results, use 2-4 weeks"I'm a little early, as it has just been a week. I have been giving my newly acquired megamutt 2-3 of these a day as per weight guideline. At first, no noticeable difference. Then by day 5 I noticed a mild chill about her. She loves these and looks forward to her daily dosing. It helps her focus, helps take the edge off of over stimulation. SO, There is a lot that goes into my decision making to give her a calming supplement and probably some timing factor as to how she is responding to these. We have had her exactly 3 weeks. She is still getting to know us, we're still getting to know her. Since she is of no particular breed, it is hard to suss out what sort of play style she has and needs. So a lot of observation and introduction of various toys, puzzles, play styles. I am trying to figure out what provides for her physical AND mental energy needs, all the while also teaching her what is good/bad/right/wrong.She is 10 months old, 30/35 lbs, and she is still getting to know routines and expectations of the house. She is not able to be out alone in house at this time (puppy-ish, limit testing, and just not knowing rules of house), so we crate when we will be gone for her safety and my patience. For me, I am out of house max 4-5 hours 2-3x per week. Not much, really. At first she was fine with crate and our attempt to make positive association seemed to be working well. Then one day, I came home and found that she had escaped and destroyed house. After that, she seemed to really despise her crate. She really hates being away from me. I think going from homeless to having people (and another dog and cats) to love on her (and wonderfully comfortable couches haha) has given her anxiety when she has to be more or less removed from all that. Sad, because the crate was a comfy cozy spot. Now it has to be barren.Hating that she was so stressed, I ordered these calming chews. I didnt want the kind with melatonin (at the time). I hoped this would be enough to help ease her anxiety. I gave them 30 mins to 1 hour before I was intending to leave, or just put her in crate (at this time, she is getting some crate time daily even if I am at home so she can get used to it). Again, nothing noticeable at first, but as each day goes on, I see a pattern in her energy and chillness. is it these, or is it progress in behavior modification and learning the ropes? I think combo of both, and really that is how it should be. Calming chews used as a tool not as the entire answer. So basically our day looks like this:Get up, go outside, potty, playThen we come back inside for her breakfast and my coffee.Inside play ensues. Then she naps and I do a little online workWake up, potty & vigorous outside playCome inside for treat and these calming supplementsShe may play a little or watch me while I get ready for work, (or get ready to do chores, etc)Then in the crateHer big lab brother will usually hang around her crate. Sometimes she settles, sometimes she barks and whines. I ignore and continue my day (inside chores, outside chores, or leave for work). Ever since she broke out that one time, she has tried hard to get out each time. Destroying her crate, we acquired a steel crate. We expect an extinction burst (get worse before get better) before she gets the message: crate is expectation, crate is safe, crate is time to take a nap (I basically time my outings around my dogs life. I make sure they are well fed, well hydrated, well exercised and mentally worked out, and would naturally be ready for a nap). Holy moly she is a screamer.I dont find these are helping at the level she needs at this time. BUT I DO THINK THEY ARE HELPFUL, and I do think the regular use is key, as well as giving it time. I dont need her comatose, I just need her to be safe and not freaking out in crate. And once she is less frantic, I will rely on these for basic daily regulation (I may buy more). But what we are currently experiencing is high separation anxiety. So I recently added in Zesty Calming dental sticks to help her really truly relax as it contains melatonin (which I didnt want, as I didnt want to just make her sleep), but at this time we need it for the crate. Next step is vet prescription so theres that. And we are working on getting the positive association and plain expectation back into place. Work in progress, and these are part of it.

4th of July's best friend
Although I have not used them yet, I have very high hopes. I have used CBD oil myself and found it very helpful and this is a dog who hates thunder, fire works, etc. As soon as we have any of those, I will try them out.
