Fitted these LED units to a 2007 Bailey caravan to replace the original halogen units and just returned from a holiday using them. They are brighter than the original lamps for a much lower energy consumption: useful if there is no mains hook-up. The fittings were a direct replacement and, in my opinion, look better than the original parts when fitted because their lower face is almost level with the surrounding woodwork. Quality seems at least as good as the originals. Too early to comment on life. They come with male spade connections fitted to the leads but there is not sufficient room for these in the recess provided by Bailey in all cases. Where there was space female spade connections were crimped on to the caravan wiring loom to accept the male fittings provided. Where there was insufficient space the male spade connections were removed and the lamp leads soldered to the caravan wiring loom. Unlike the halogen lamps, the LED downlights are polarity sensitive. When the polarity is incorrect they do not light but don't seem to suffer any damage. Reversing the polarity fixes the problem, but clearly the correct polarity must be determined, particularly if soldering connections.

Diameter spot on for the holes the lights they were replacing just had to create small slots for the retaining tabs (a small file and two slots per lamp) they really look the part and give slightly more light than the halogen lights they've replaced. Reduced consumption from 50w to 8w over 5 lights. The swap took 1.5 hours and that included removing two wooden ceiling trims that the lights fit in. Really pleased with the results.

Connecters had to be taped to keep them together

Very surprised at both the overall quality and how bright they are. I have purchased two lots of these as they are so good.Tip if you connect the positive to the negative wire the lamp won’t work it’s trial an error on connection.

Cheap, not well designed, constantly pop out of place

Fitted to my boat which has a plywood head liner. These lights are very slim and hardly project above the head liner. Extension leads fitted with plastic connector to connect to light but these did not lock together so removed them and soldered the wires. Normal three gang light switch used to select them in pairs. Very pleased with brightness and low power consumption.

Very bright lights - good length of wire on each light. Easily installed. I'm operating these in a 12v solar/battery system, so low voltage/low current is important. Work well. Very pleased with this product.
