I never planned to give my V-card to a gorgeous stranger I met at a bar. But for once I didn't let myself overthink things. In the few hours we spent together, he managed to push me outside my comfort zone. And I loved every second. I never expected to see him again. Let alone sitting at the head of the boardroom table during my architectural firm's pitch to design his new hotel chain. Turns out the man I spent one steamy night of passion with is Cole King, billionaire COO of the King Group. And unlike our previous encounter, when it comes to business, he’s as cold as ice. Now I’m working for him, and it’s… challenging. He’s arrogant, demanding, and seems to delight in pushing my buttons. But with every “one-on-one” meeting he insists we have, the memory of that night simmers between us. I should never have agreed when he proposed a no-strings-attached arrangement, but I wanted to experience more of what he could give me. I didn’t mean to trade my heart in return. Now it’s too late. Because no matter the warmth his touch brings, Cole is as icy in love as he is in business. And I’m the one who’s going to get burned. Coldhearted King is a full-length, spicy, one-night stand, billionaire workplace romance, with a virgin heroine, a dirty-talking hero, and a guaranteed happily ever after. It's the first book in the Empty Kingdom billionaire romance series but can be read as a standalone. Review: A Spicy Billionaire Workplace 5-Star Read w/ Room for More - This was a good read for me, and if you’re looking for a book with a lot of spice, this is definitely one to pick up. The spicy scenes were well written, descriptive without feeling awkward or cringe, and the chemistry between Cole and Delilah was definitely there. Their initial meeting happens pretty quickly, but the actual development of their relationship takes its time. I liked the buildup overall, although there were definitely parts where I felt like the story was being prolonged more than it needed to be. The plot itself was decent; I just think some of the slower parts could’ve been shortened or used to give us a little more development between the characters. Cole’s character development was intriguing, especially because he can be very aware of himself and his actions while still repeating the same behaviors and falling into his own self-destructive tendencies. There were definitely moments where I was thinking, “Why are you doing this? Grow up.” But when you consider his background and why he is the way he is, his actions start to make more sense even when you don’t agree with them. I felt similarly about Delilah. She’s strong, independent, and smart, but she also has a vulnerable and somewhat innocent side. There were moments where her decisions frustrated me too, but looking at her background helped me understand where some of those choices were coming from. I think both Cole and Delilah are characters where how you interpret them and their decisions plays a big part in how you feel about them. My biggest thing is that I just wanted a little more from both of them. I would’ve liked more individual character development and more of their relationship outside of the spice. We’re told they laugh together and genuinely enjoy each other’s company, but I wanted to actually see more of those moments. The chemistry was there; I just wanted a little more of what made them work together beyond the physical attraction. I also would’ve loved a little more from the side characters. They served their purpose, but sometimes felt like they were there because the story needed a best friend, brothers, coworkers, etc. They didn’t need their own major storylines, but a little more personality and depth could’ve made the story even better. Overall, I would still rate this a five-star read for me. I read it all the way to the end, it was well written, and it was good enough to make me want to read the second book, so that says enough for me. Review: Great ending - Good book with good characters. I bit too spicy for way too much of the story but the great ending made up for that. I really hope the next one is a bit calmer or I won't finish the series. I'm not a prude but I don't want every detail for most of the book

amazing story!!
I LOVED this one. Cole & Delilah’s story was so full of everything I love in this trope. Of course I wanted to smack some sense into him at times and even hated him a time or two but you understand when you need to why and how and what needs to be done for it to all work out. The brothers had a very unloved life and I’m hoping the other two find someone as wonderful as Delilah because they need it. Highly recommend this one because you get so many feels from this and you’ll love Delilah so much and only want the best for her. Seeing the changes in Cole are amazing and wonderful to “watch” throughout the book. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

yes Cole!
This is a extremely sexy & enjoyable book to read. It reminds me a lot of the writing style of Juliette Banks. Strong main characters who are very successful & very troubled. I don’t like to give less stars than five because I realize you put so much into your writing & I’m grateful you share with us. I would have preferred for you to leave out the final scene with Delilah’s father. I didn’t feel it was necessary nor attractive. Thank you again for sharing your talent with your readers!

Emotional!
Delilah and Cole have a heart wrenching story from start to finish. There are moments of pure sweetness, lots of humor, angst and drama that all pull at the heart strings.

Good but nothing too original
This was a good old billionaire romance. Nothing too original but good enough to read whole thing. Doesn’t make me want to read more in the series but I also wasn’t mad that I read it. Quick, easy read - which is what I was looking for at the time Might try more of this author in future

Dirty talking boss billionaire 🔥🌶️
I absolutely loved Coldhearted King and couldn’t put it down, but you know life so I had to. This is a billionaire, one night stand turned office romance with an inexperienced fmc and an age gap. Our fmc, Delilah is an architect, youngest at her company. The mmc, Cole King is our coldhearted billionaire, whose main focus is his family’s company. Delilah finds herself at bar trying to drown her sorrows after a break up and meets Cole. She wants to stop overthinking things and decides to go to Cole’s hotel room. The pages burn up with their chemistry and spice. A month later, Delilah is getting ready to present a design proposal with her firm and she is shocked to see Cole at the head of the table. Their working relationship is tense and quickly turns to no strings attached fun. They both agree that it will end and it’s only physical. Their heads may know this but the heart starts to get in the way. Cole attempts to keep Delilah at arms length but is surprised that she makes him feel things he’s never felt before. Their connection grows and soon they both have fallen hard. Fair warning, there is a third-act breakup but in my opinion needed to happen for character growth. Don’t worry there is epic groveling. This story had me laughing, swooning and tearing up. The spice does drive the story at first because of the nature of their arrangement but it is hot and well written. I loved Delilah, she was young but strong and knew her worth. I couldn’t help but fall for Cole and feel his struggle to understand his emotions. I really enjoyed seeing them as a couple in the epilogue and look forward to seeing them appear in future books. 5⭐️ 3.5🌶️

In awe.
I am seriously just in awe of this book, the story it told, the characters it had, and the absolutely amazing writing. I am... Oh my god, the relationship between Cole and Delilah was so beautiful, and just so so good! I literally can't think of words that would justify just how much I really love them, and their story. So so so happy this book popped up in my recommendations, and I decided to pick it up. Also! Can't wait for Tate and Ronan's books. They already have my heart! ❤❤❤

Really good romance
It's great to read a romance which doesn't make the reader angry due to a difficult storyline, which a lot of authors do. There are twist and turns to keep you interested in the tale to the very end, plus still being invested in the main characters. As for the name Cole King, absolutely brilliant, made me laugh thinking about the nursery rhyme. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Cold-hearted King
Nice and easy to read, steamy, heartbreaking and revenge. I was hoping for the story of Tate even Roman to follow.
