RØDE PodMic USB Versatile Dynamic Broadcast Microphone With XLR and USB Connectivity for Podcasting, Streaming, Gaming, Music-Making and Content Creation (Black)

I purchased the RØDE PodMic USB to upgrade my live streaming and content creation setup, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I use it with the RØDE DS2 Desktop Studio Arm, and together they make a perfect combination. My first unit unfortunately had a manufacturing defect and wasn't capturing audio properly. However, Amazon's customer service was exceptional and sent a replacement within hours. The replacement worked perfectly right out of the box. The audio quality is simply outstanding. Since switching to the PodMic USB, I've received multiple compliments during my live sessions about the clarity and richness of my voice. It delivers professional broadcast-quality sound with minimal effort. One of my favorite features is the onboard DSP. Once you configure the microphone settings, they are stored directly on the microphone itself. This means you don't need to keep any software running to maintain your preferred settings, which is incredibly convenient when switching between devices. Another feature I love is its USB-C connectivity. I was able to connect it directly to my Samsung Galaxy S25, and the audio quality was amazing. If you create videos on your phone and want professional-grade audio without carrying extra equipment, this microphone is an excellent choice. The dual USB and XLR connectivity provide great flexibility for both beginners and advanced users, and the included 5-year warranty from RØDE adds extra peace of mind. Great mic! Use it for work in an open off ice plan, loads of MS Teams meetings daily and it’s a professional level upgrade from any other “office/business” labeled mics. It does not pick up ambient noise around i.e. shuffling papers, talking etc. I do have only one thing I dislike and that’s the headphone monitoring likes to cut out all the time in mid meetings. The mic keeps working but the audio goes out. Not sure the cause as all drivers are updated and it’s inconsistent when it happens. I fixed it with an external usb audio interface Device and switching to XLR connection from the usb direct. Great product though!

Doesn’t work. Bought it to travel with it and noticed at destination that it turns on but doesn’t pick any sound. The audio output through 3.5 jack is working but the mic itself isn’t. Tried with iPhone 16 pro, Macbook Pro M1 Max, windows 11. None of them is picking sound despite being detected by the system. Definitely faulty. Request to be refunded. I will try another brand

Amazing quality... good noise isolation and great overall performance. the pop filter is amazing and works well as well. the only thing is that for a USB microphone, its a bit overpriced. but its fairly premium so im happy

It’s a good product but not as great as Shure MV7. I’m a CEO. I use direct monitoring so I can tell the quality easily. I use Shure headset with MV7 and when home I use this one. This mic is good, but the quality could have been better. Shure Mv7 is much more clearer and sharper

The PodMic USB is awesome. It looks fantastic RØDE really know how to make a professional-looking mic — and the build quality is solid. Perfect for podcasting, streaming, or voice recording, and I’ve even used it on location where it performed beautifully. The sound is clear, rich, and broadcast quality. Having both XLR and USB connectivity makes it super versatile for different setups. A brilliant mic at a great price point.

Excellent studio sound quality at a great price! MacOS and Linux compatible out of the box. Has support for both XLR and USB C. Easy to adjust at different angles, high quality fully metal build.
