As a content creator and PMU artist, I needed to step up from my iPhone without breaking the bank. The Canon EOS 2000D has been a game-changer, and here's why: What I Love: · Image Quality: The jump from phone photos is insane. The 24.1 MP sensor captures incredible detail, which is crucial for showcasing my permanent makeup work and creating sharp social media content. · Ease of Use: For anyone nervous about moving away from 'Auto,' this camera is so forgiving. The guided menus and feature explanations helped me learn quickly. · Value for Money: For the price, the quality you get is unbelievable. It's the perfect foundation to build a kit upon. Things To Consider: · The Kit Lens is Just Okay: The 18-55mm kit lens gets you started, but investing in a 'nifty fifty' (50mm f/1.8 lens) will truly unlock this camera's potential, especially for those beautiful blurred backgrounds. · It's a DSLR: It's not as compact as a mirrorless camera or phone. You have to be willing to carry it. Final Verdict: If you're a budding photographer, a small business owner like me, or a content creator ready to look more professional, this camera is the best first step you can take. It grows with you as you learn. Highly recommend!

Bought this after the cheaper camera I got gave me pictures that looked like oil paintings. The quality is very good! I also got a UV filter that screws into the lens. Easy to set up, love that I can set up the camera and then use my phone to take pictures. The only downside I've had so far is that the pictures taken show more than what I see through the viewfinder. Easy enough fix with cropping, but was a bit annoyed after contorting myself to get the perfect shot excluding a family only to see them in the picture after all. I haven't messed with any of the settings, all pictures were taken as is out of the box.

Very happy with the camera and lens, as a complete beginner other than using a point and press camera I had to get a for dummies book to help me with the learning curve I am now taking pictures of people and flowers etc that people who normally use their phone cameras are amazed and can't believe the quality of the pictures and the fact I can text the pictures to them using the wifi connection and do not lose any definition. The amount of information I'm going to need to learn is going to take some time but I think it's going to be worth it.

First time DSLR purchase, and i can honestly say as a beginner who previously shot off a Canon Powershot SX150 IS for over a year this has been a smooth upgrade. The EF-S 18-55mm lens & Body you can purchase as a kit from Amazon has been a welcome introduction. I managed to find myself a decently priced 2nd hand EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens and even with this lens being the oldest release (Not IS II or IS II STM) its been great for some amateur Wildlife Photography during my walks. I’d highly recommend grabbing one of those lenses or one of the upgrades to it if you can find it at an affordable price and good condition as it’s added another tier to the camera function for distance shooting. I’ve added some raw photos below with no editing using the 55-250mm lens for reference ☺️ I’ll be posting on an instagram page any shots taken with this camera ximanasapagusx if you have any further interest in the Canon EOS 2000D ☺️
