Hamlet

The book is well bound and the print is small, but clear and easy to read. The play speaks for itself through all the centuries of its publication and all the thousands and thousands of productions that have flesh it out. There are excellent illustrations and it fits in my pants pocket. This is like an actual keepsake. I love carrying it around with me and to read "At Will" (pun intended).

Hamlet itself is a fantastic read, so I would definitely recommend it (even if you're not a Shakespeare fan, which I'm not). On a side note, I would also recommend reading Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard after to gain an entirely new and humorous perspective on Hamlet. Or you may even want to read it beforehand to help you get more enthusiastic about having to read Shakespeare. The book I received is stunning! As other reviewers have noted, it is small (this is because it's a pocket book). For someone like me that has already read the play, it works well--it's aesthetically pleasing on my bookshelf and easy to shove in my bag when traveling. If you need to analyze Hamlet for a class, you may want to get a normal-sized version however.

I am so glad I purchased the hardcover edition! This books is absolutely precious, I was not expecting it to be so small but I fell in love with it immediately. It's a good classic to have in your collection and it's very aesthetic! It came right on time too. Someone asked me if it was from the British museum because apparently it looks exactly like the books there, definitely a plus!

I bought this small hardcover Hamlet book for myself and ten others. I’m currently on Act III Scene III… what an amazing story! My friends and family love the book too. I’m always asking myself who else can I gift this to!!! But I guess 11 people is enough.

The book is small, which it says so but I put a size comparison just for reference! The book is absolutely beautiful and arrived in great condition. I was iffy at first but I'm not anything else but pleased and excited to read the text. No annotations, but that's not a downside to me! I will definitely be purchasing Macbeth. I already read that, but literature pieces like these never get old. 100% recommend!

I expected this book to be small but its so tiny I can almost put it on a Keychain 🤣🤣 I guess I can put it in my purse and read it anywhere. I'm rating it good because it is beautiful and I'm obsessed with this book. Just be aware that it is TINY

Love that this is more pocket-sized. It has a soft-touch cover, gilded edges, a thin gold tassel to mark your place, and crepe-like bible pages. It’s a nice high-quality little book. It feels right and sturdy to hold it in your hand. Now I can carry around my favorite edgelord everywhere I go.

I saw several reviews that mentioned this book was small but, I was still surprised by just how small the book was. It can fit in a back pocket. It is still a gorgeous book though. Sometimes companies will reduce the font size with smaller books making them more difficult for me to read but, I had no problem reading this book.

I am reviewing this edition of Hamlet, not Hamlet itself, as to review a play which has survived hundreds of years and is incredibly famous is presumptuous and futile. This book is smaller than usual, but it is pretty, well-made and has gold-edged pages (I'm guessing not real gold but it looks lovely). So it is a nice book to have. I have tried reading the 'to be or not to be ' speech to my daughter but she was rather contemptuous. The good thing about this book though is that it's small enough to fit in my handbag. So I shall take it with me when necessary and whenever there's nothing else to read, I shall present it to my daughter, she will end up loving it. That's the thing with Shakespeare; you have to persevere.

Non è un’edizione perfetta, ma nonostante tutto è un piccolo gioellino e ne consiglio l’acquisto, anche solo per collezione. Pregi: Copertina rigida, bel disegno in sovracopertina. Piccolo libro, tascabile e leggero, facile da trasportare. Doratura nel filo delle pagine. Arricchito da piccole illustrazioni. Presente segnalibro con classica stringa di tessuto. Per certi versi sembra un libro d’altri tempi, per la cura di alcuni dettagli. Difetti: Piccolo libro, piccole pagine, piccoli i caratteri. Pagine di buona fattura ma sottili, si nota leggermente la stampa dell’altra facciata. Rilegatura buona, ma forse un pò ballerina.
