Q: Can this material be painted over with acrylic paint?

Yes, absolutely. We recommend that you paint the product after installation.

Q: Will the toe design cover a 1/4" gap?

I really can't answer that - my gap was about 1/8" between the floor and wall and it did really well with that. 1/4" might be pushing your luck.

Q: The bottom lip/toe is wavy even after heating, laying out for a week etc. What can i do?k

I also had to deal with some waviness when I installed it above a carpeted floor. The best solution for me was to make sure the bottom edge of the molding was pressed firmly against the floor as I pressed the molding against the wall. After it is attached you then press the curved edge of the base evenly toward the wall. It worked okay for me. Not perfect, but looks okay.

Q: Want to install on raw wood under cabinets. Has that worked successfully for anyone?

I can visualize that working. I was sticking it to painted sheetrock and tile floor though, so I don't know if it would stick as smoothly on raw 'rough' wood, maybe if very smooth wood.
