The smooth nature of it also very gentle on the pockets. After about a month or so: no loosening and I feel like I have 100 deploy rate with this thing. Even a gentle pull from the pocket will set the blade to lock open. (Some of my Emerson's don't always deploy all the way) also, it doesn't get in the way when re-holstering either (like the syderco delcos)Worth it. You should get one.

Good Emerson-style opener, works very well. Well, almost, it was missing one of the screws so I had to jerry-rig an attachment from an extra hex-nut I had.

The fit is really poor. When properly installed, the slop on the fit is HUGE. It works, as in, it draws correctly - but I wouldn't rely upon this system. The gap between the blade and the stud is massive. I would presume that extended use will cause the screw to loosen as the fit is so poor there is a huge probability of it moving with hard deployment. Yes, it's a cheapish part, but I do expect it to work as advertised considering how its made. This is poor engineering that could have been done better.

Buy this. I got a plastic snaggletooth about a month ago and since it was plastic I couldn't tighten it down enough to make the tooth not move, it worked good enough but it was always a little loose. Since this one is metal it's very secure. Fit my Kizer Escort tightly.

I read a review that sold me on this thing, saying that it fit the Kizer Escort. IT DOES NOT. DO NOT BUY IF IT IS FOR A KIZER KNIFE
