Well-made, entertaining puzzle toy for smart puppies
Our 22-pound, 9-month-old, Yorkie/schnauzer puppy Moseley loves puzzles and needs challenging mental stimulation or he quickly becomes bored and causes mischief. We've been feeding him lunch daily in the PetSafe Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Meal Dispensing Dog Toy, Medium/Large , which he LOVES, though it mostly involves doing the same thing repeatedly to get food out. We also occasionally feed him dinner in a multi-step puzzle toy or a slow feeder bowl, so we bought this product for variety. Though he figured out how to get all the food out of this level 3 puzzle in about 10-15 minutes the first time he tried it, he definitely enjoyed the process of solving the puzzle. Tonight we tried it again, and he completed the puzzle to get all his food in just over 5 minutes, but he was loving every minute of it, as the video shows. (NOTE: he eats small bites, so his food actually fits in the small drawers of this toy; dogs who eat normal kibble would probably need to use this for treat-finding training instead.) This isn't the most challenging puzzle we have, but it involves enough different actions and steps to keep our puppy actively engaged and interested while he eats his meal. The product is made of a solid matte plastic that has a nice, upscale feel to it and I didn't see any markings on it from teeth or paws after our first two uses, though I wouldn't allow my dog to use it unsupervised or chew on the pieces. I was happy enough with this product that I plan to buy another level 3 puzzle from the same company, Trixie Chess Game, Level 3 , and use them together once he's perfected each of them to make a more challenging puzzle that only has food in some of the compartments.

Excellent Product - My Pug Loves It!
My very small (12 lb) adult pug loves this! This was her first puzzle and as directed, we eased into using it together with my support to help her learn how it works. Within a very short time (she's always been super smart) she's a pro and goes at it like nobody's business! She loves using it very much, getting excited as soon as she sees be go anywhere near it, hoping, hoping. She likes to use her paws to solve problems in general and puzzles specifically, so she has yet to remove the yellow pieces by picking one up using her mouth, although I think she could physically, if she wanted to do so. Yes, the yellow cones are hard to knock over, as the product states, but when she tries to knock them out by batting them repeatedly with her paws, she succeeds. Just bumping into them randomly won't dislodge them. Also, she is able to successfully get all the treats out of the wells - none are too deep for her flat puggy face and tongue to reach - which is not the case with some slow feeder bowls and puzzles I've tried. I also highly recommend the Nina Ottosson puzzles - I ordered several wooden ones from her website. Plastic versions of some of her games are available on Amazon. Like this Trixie Chess game, they are very well made and thought out. Highly recommended for people who want to play alongside and engage/stimulate their pet's mind and body. I feed one meal per day using a traditional stainless steel bowl (because I add wet and powdered ingredients to her kibble) and feed one meal per day using a puzzle. Great fun! My dog loves these new additions to our life together!

Pretty Cool
My dog is very clever and good at problem solving, observation, and deductive reasoning. I got the Level 3, assuming that anything else would be too simple. As it turns out, he struggled with this, at first. I really had to work with him to keep his motivation up. Eventually, he figured all of the trick out, and they are simple now. But the process of getting there was very stimulating and rewarding. What I love about this is that there are a lot of different ways to challenge the dog, from very simple and straightforward, to somewhat complex multistep processes. If your dog isn't fairly observant or doesn't like to persist with challenges, this level will probably just frustrate the dog and be boring for you. What I don't love is that the challenges are rather mechanical. So, they aren't natural sorts of problems for a dog. I think this makes for a good challenge, but I also think it somewhat lessens the dog's innate motivation. Also, once the dog learns all of the various challenges, it is pretty much just a paperweight. It took us about 5-6 sessions.

Challenging AND Washable!
Fantastic toy! As mentioned in other puzzle toy reviews, I have a Belgian Shepherd who is too smart for his own good. As often as I can I buy puzzles and things that really get him thinking, and he loves them. I've been eyeing Move 2 Win for quite some time (as well as the other Trixie toys) and when it went on sale I had to jump. Worth the price and worth the wait! Unlike the plastic puzzle toys I've bought before, the plastic on this puzzle is thick and extremely durable. The size of the pegs and slots are also large enough for a shepherd to use the toy and me not worry he'll choke on them or break them trying to solve it. Even better, the pegs and drawers are entirely removable and washable! I love his other puzzles he's had since puppyhood, but they get pretty slimy and saniwipes don't always get in places perfectly. The puzzle itself is surprisingly difficult with a simple concept: push the lever in four directions to push out the drawers, remove the pegs, and pull out the drawers they're holding in place. A toy of this complexity is about what you would give to a human toddler, say three or four years old. When you think about it, that's a pretty tough puzzle and really impressive. That said, don't expect your dog to solve it the first time or without help. Really, puzzles should be demonstrated to the dogs and some help given until they get the idea, and with the Trixie puzzles it helps if your dog has already solved level 1 and 2 puzzles before. This one builds on the puzzle that uses drawer pulls, and the one that introduces the lever, so if they've solved either one before, this will be easier. Sariel doesn't have them, so it was an entirely new concept for him. Typically he solves puzzles alone the first time in about a minute or less, and this was the first time he's actually needed my help. The pegs and drawers were easier to figure out and it was the lever that confused him a bit. It'll take another time or two showing him and he'll have this one down no problem. Overall I'm totally impressed and look forward to buying more of the Trixie toys. I would give a quick word of warning, though. With a lot of puzzles I find reviews from people saying they left their dogs with it and found the toy destroyed in seconds. Things like this are meant to be bonding and training experiences, not babysitters. Even though it's really sturdy, always supervise your dog with puzzles and toys made with hard plastic like this.

A few problems, but overall decent
My wife bought this puzzle for our dog, and overall we are fairly happy with it. However, it is pretty much only good for 100% supervised usage. For starters, there are straight-up flaws with the design. The biggest one I have found is that once your dog pushes the stick towards the front of the toy to push out one of the front drawers, if one of the side drawers (which are also pushed out with the "joystick") gets pushed in, the stick is then trapped, and the puzzle cannot be completed except by the dog picking it up. When this happens (which for my dog at least, is almost every time), I have to push him away from it and reset the drawers and the stick, which irritates him and is kind of annoying to me. Another lesser flaw is that if the drawers get pushed in a bit, the dog can see the treats through the thin cutout that the stick travels along. If you are using heavy treats like a dog biscuit or kibble, the dog can become focused on the treat they see through the slot and lose focus on trying to work the puzzle or become frustrated and just start digging on it. If you use a light treat like I do (unsalted nori seaweed), my dog can just get his tongue in there and eat the treats out without pushing out the drawer. Of course, I don't really hold that against the toy, since I am sure it was not made for nori, but seeing the treat in another location before it is accessible could be distracting. And finally, like other reviewers have said, the drawers will fall out if the toy is picked-up, so you have to stay on top of your dog if they are bigger to keep them from picking the whole thing up and shaking it to make everything fall out. The drawers are so easy to push out that my dog has now learned he can just nudge it with his nose and go to the other side to see if a drawer slid out. Honestly, there are better puzzles out there. "Sliding" puzzles tend to hold up a bit better to dogs that don't want to play along, forcing them to play by the rules. This toy doesn't. If your dog gets even slightly frustrated with this one, they will probably figure out quickly they can just pick it up or nudge it instead of messing with the joystick. But with some supervision and guidance, we have had some fun with our corgi with this one, so it isn't an issue where we feel completely jipped or like we need to send it back. We will be keeping it and using it in the future, but it definitely wasn't everything we wanted.

Very cool product!
I wasn't sure of this product when it was opened but figured I might as well give it a shot. The trainer recommended it for boredom and training purposes. This is super cool. You just place a treat in either the open holes of the sliding squares or underneath the squares and slide the square over the treat. There are three levels you can use: cones alone, vertical slides or horizontal slides or any combination of them. The cones were way too easy for my dog. But the slides, either vertical or horizontal, were fun. Stimulating and entertaining for both of us! We have had this over 6 months now and the dog still loves it. The directions for use are clear and emphasize there is no right or wrong way for dogs to access the treats. Noses, paws or a combination all work. It washes easily of dog drool and is a very heavy construction. Use should be supervised so they don't chew it however. One caveat, I have a 65 lb. dog and she is easily able to slide it around on the floor. Either plan to hold it firmly in place, place on a sticky mat, carpet or invest in glue on rubber pads.

Love this puzzle for my 1 year old cockapoo- can't wait to find another one for level 3
Love this interactive dog toy. My one year old cockapoo can't wait for me to set this up for her twice a day. The first few days she tried it she was a little frustrated. She didn't know how toslide the doors and topple the peg over to get to the treats(i cut small treats in half). Once I showed her how everything works , she was so excited to try it on her own. It's one of her favorite toys :-)

His favorite puzzle!
This is one of his favorite toys, and he prefers it over every other puzzle toy he has. I'm not sure if people complaining about the difficulty just aren't sure how to present the toy or what. After reading the reviews, I was worried that it would maybe take him a while to figure it out. However, he solved it in 30 seconds the first time. I think the longest he's taken is maybe 2 minutes. However, we can break up the treats small and it gives him something to use his brain on. Hopefully, this company continue to makes more challenging toys, because the quality and set up is great. Pros: -Solid quality and build. He can't flip it over and 'cheat' like he can with some of his other puzzles. Everything felt well constructed. -Easy to clean. While I like the look of the wooden toys best, this toy is *much* easier to clean. -Looks good for plastic. Again, prefer wooden, but the toy is good looking enough that I don't feel tacky leaving it out for him to fool about with. Cons: -Too easy. Maybe because he is a working dog, but I was hoping that Level 3 would be more challenging for him. Still, we can break his treats into smaller bits and set it up over and over. He definitely loves using it and it's challenging enough that he can't just cheat his way through.

Great dog puzzle
This puzzle took the dogs a few tries to figure out. After that the German Shepard (1.5 years) can do it in 2-5 mins. The old chihuahua (14 years) takes about 30 mins. They do try and steal the puzzle from one another. However, they are both very calm after they play with the puzzle. I guess thinking wears them out. This puzzle is very sturdy except for the two top pieces, they got chewed on day one. It’s easy to clean and set up. I’ll be buying more puzzles from this company in the future

Excelente juguete
El pedido llegó en tiempo y forma. Tiene varios niveles en un solo juguete, eso ha sido muy bueno ya que al principio a mis cachorros les fue difícil entenderlo (son de raza con una inteligencia media). Tiene buen material y es resistente.
