These are a decent value for the money. They seem to last pretty well and will work for almost any material that you need to sand.

Tough belts, good for steel too
These belts cut nicely. I thought they were painted blue, like alumox belts disguised as zirconia. They are not. Been using these on my hand belt sander to clean and "flatten" after grinding thick steel. So far they seem better than flap wheels, considered the lower speed over a grinder. Never used a belt sander for steel, but its a nice tool to have at your disposal with zir belts. Flatter than a 4x4 drum prep tool or flap discs. Been using 3m cubitron, benchmark zir&ciramic, combat abrasives. Id say these are comparable to those.
