SplendidWomen's 1x1 Tank Top

I got this for my wife many years ago, but Amazon never forgets and asks me to review it from time to time. Now that I'm an author with a book on Amazon, I realize the value of reviews. So here's the scoop.The shirt was bought to replace a great x-long rib tank. It was hard to find shirts that were long enough, but this one did, and it's been at least 7 years, and she still wears the shirt, so it has held up very well.

I purchased this Splendid Woman's 1x1 Rib Tank in white, navy and black. I absolutely love these tank tops except for the black one. While the white and navy tanks had the Splendid label on the tank, the black one had no label what so ever, it was so long it hit my knees and it had a rough hem on the bottom of the tank. In addition, it came in a zip lock pouch with Chinese characters on it and the words in English did not say Splendid. I am returning this top and will reorder it again hoping for a true Splendid tank. I assume these tanks come from the same source so why such a difference for the black tank?

As I'm taller and not very busty I usually buy XL and make do with my tops being a bit baggy. This tank is about the perfect fit as an XL. The length is just past my waist so that it doesn't feel like it's riding up, but still fits my form without being too loose or too tight. I only wish this came in more colors; I'd have one of each.

I bought this tank because it said Modal tank. This is tank is NOT soft.

Soft material + comfortable dimensions (eg, shoulder straps are not too wide). The white is fairly opaque in that my belly button isn't visible though the material, but most bras besides basic white/ivory are visible. The size small measures ~25.75" long after washing. Made in China.

Like this tank, I already owned in white. The straps are a bit of a racerback, and you cannot wear a bra unless you like your strap shown...so I usually wear another tank under it & wear a bra--the deduction of one star. The fabric is dreamy, has a bit of modal. Splendid does have another tank where the straps are wider in the back & bra will not show; but it is extremely long.

Top was very soft and comfortable. It was well cut and fit was close without being tight. Not too see through. I normally wear a 10 (sometimes a 12 in smaller cut clothing lines). A medium probably would have been tight. I took off a star as the price was a little expensive for what it was.

I love this tank! It's very well made and also made in the USA which is another bonus. I'm 5'2" and 115lbs with a smaller size bust and ordered the XS and it fits great. Not too tight and not too loose just right. I'm not a fan of skin tight tanks or see through tanks (unless I'm going to the beach) and this one is neither. It has a nice thickness to it without being to heavy. The texture is a very fine ribbed look. The straps are about about an 1.5 inches wide which is also nice. Highly recommend this for everyday or even a night out.

Nice basic tank. Great price!

Bought my usual size, and it was too small. The fabric is a nice but not in this style, With the sizing issue, I think the designers are not as skilled as they think they are. But I will try the bigger size, as maybe its a body shape issue.
