Dark Mahogany Solid Wood Coat Rack

This rack is PERFECT!! I totally love it! It took me 5 minutes to assemble it - it looks classy and is very sturdy! Recommend! And the price is awesome! I searched the entire Amazon, looking for a coat rac, read about 500 reviews on different products, and I am glad I got this one!

This is an excellent purchase for the price. It looks very nice, was easy to assemble (took about a minute!) and it is pretty sturdy. I would recommend it.

It serves its purpose. But it was not worth what we paid for it because it came with a lot of scratches, areas where the finish had collected into clumps, indentations in the wood (presumably from the manufacturer, since the packaging had good insulation inside), and places where it simply hadn't been finished (instead of actually being a dark wood, it is a cheap, light-colored wood that has a very dark finish on it). It doesn't matter how cheap something is - when I purchase something, I generally expect it to come without any obvious defects. I shouldn't feel like I need to refinish the product, at least. There are no structural problems with this coat rack, but the general aesthetic value is greatly diminished by the lack of care of the manufacturer. I don't recommend this product to anyone getting it online - buy one you can examine at the store.

I had this product for all of 3 days, it seemed fine, easy assembly. This coat rack is very light weight so be sure your coats are evenly distributed. I had 3 coats on the rack, place the fourth... the rack tipped over and cracked at the base. could not be repaired and was not worth the hassle of returning to amazon. Waste of money and time.

This product is actually not as pictured in the following ways: 1) it is not lacquered and does not have a shiny finish, it is a mat espresso brown. 2) It has "prongs" or "hooks" in the middle of the stand and variously toward the top and very top 3) the feet or legs are not curved, but are in very "modernistic" straight style 4) the "pole" portion is not beveled or twisted as the picture shows, but is smooth round all the way up. These all amount to a different product, it is an attractive modern looking product, but never the less very different. So if a buyer has colonial or mission style wood furniture, or furniture that has lacquer or shiny stain, this will not mesh well or match.

After looking for a coat rack, I ordered this one as it seemed to be the right price/look. When receiving it, I was pleasantly surprised there was no damage to the wood and it looked very nice. Putting it together literally took no more than two minutes and it works great. It is very sturdy and there are many hooks to hang coats. Keep in mind it is only a $30 coat rack so overloading it with a gagillion winter coats probably isn't a good idea. However, to keep the coats from being hung on the back of the dining room chairs; it is a great solution!!!

Very easy to put together, took about 5 minutes, no tools required. Seems sturdy. Holds all my winter coats. My only complaint is the sticker that comes on it that says the product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer or other cancer related illnesses. I just think the company should have made that fact apparent at some point before I've already received and opened the package.

It's what you would expect for the money. It'll probably last for a year or two but should have opted for something better. And it's NOT dark mahogany! It's that fake cherry looking stain.
