6 Pack - Black 5888 Fine Tip Schmidt Metal Refill

So, I'm not sure if the number on the end of this is the manufacture date, and these things are really old, but they all seem to last only a couple days. I don't write but maybe 4/5 pages of notes, and boom. Done. No more ink. Prettty expensive way to write. Also, they don't write as smoothly as the ones i've had in the past. I discovered this particular ink buying high end pens which came with these cartriges. Something is very wrong here...... I suspect very old, or very fake.

Genuine article. Schmidt has smoother ball bearing and writing action than generic. Metal body type holds more ink than the plastic model. Really pleased with purchase.

The refills would meet just about any quality checks...an excellent product...will definitely buy again when needed.

In an effort to find the best rollerball refill, I bought this Schmidt and the Mont Blanc refill to compare. For me, this refill writes circles around the Mont Blanc. It's super smooth rollerball lets the ink flow out onto paper effortlessly without any uneven lines. This has (at least so far) become my go-to rollerball refill.

These Schmidt refills are perfect! They have an excellent ink supply. Writes smoothly!

Very good refills: write like a dream--smooth and clean. Have not done a scientific comparison between the Schmidt 888 vs. this one 5888, but this one appears better.

Probably the best rollerball ink available. The only real question is black or blue? I like them both :)
