Looks and feels like any book

As someone who hated mathematics in my schooldays, I am now 68 years of age and have started to enjoy mathematics as a hobby. I absolutely loved this book. Everything is so clearly explained and all the questions have fully-worked answers. It's a fun and colourful book. I would plead with the publishers to now create one that teaches calculus!

Just make sure you also get the companion book. This is mostly practice problems, though it does teach the concepts too.I bought 6 other Algebra books to help my daughter self-teach content that her teacher didn't have time to cover in school before she needed to pass a placement exam, but I threw them all away after I found this one.At first the juvenile font and colors turned me off and I thought it wasn't a serious book, but I was wrong. It was spot-on. It explains the content in a perfectly approachable way and provides enough practice problems (with long answer explanations) that students can feel confident with the content.
