The previous scalp massager I used had a different handle that was a slightly awkward grip. It got the job done but would sometimes slip out of my hand due to me lathering the shampoo.I bought this one once my old one wore out since I dropped it a few times. I like the handle where I can slip my hand in and I'm not losing my grip due to the shampoo. It's just as soft as my old one and is a bit bigger in size. Easy to use and works like a charm. Provides a nice massage to your scalp.I have fine hair and it can get pretty tangled sometimes so I try to avoid vigorous scrubbing.

Gives a great massage, the design makes it very comfortable to hold and use. Incredibly easy to clean and feels like very nice quality. I use one for hair oils and massage and one for shampooing to help work out build up. The third is a back up.

I was hoping to upgrade my shower brush with one that could move my hair and help me to cleanse the middle on my head better. These shower brushes were long and soft and well mage. But, I felt like I was brushing with an elbow. I did not get the tactile feel that I was moving through my hair and in contact with my scalp like I get with the pointy ones. I could not tell I if I was just mashing my head or working into my scalp. So, there are not for me. These may be good if you are able to see or feel what it is doing rather than just general pressure and tugging.

I then use the scalp massager to ensure that the oil is worked in. I then cover my hair with a disposable cap. I like it because it's firm enough unlike the other ones that I have bought. The only downside is that it is 2 pieces and there's space for water to get into it. If it's not properly cleaned and taken apart to dry properly then it will hold water which isn't very sanitary.
