No One Saw a Thing: The No.1 Sunday Times bestselling Richard and Judy Book Club psychological thriller

Brilliantly done!
I read Hide and Seek by this author and loved it so when I saw everyone raving about her latest release, I had to buy it.One of the worst things as a parent is when you lose sight of your child, even if it’s just a few seconds. Those moments feel like hours. For Sive, trying to get on the tube with two young girls as well as a baby in a pram, you just know the unthinkable is going to happen and the doors of the tube close on her two girls before she can get on. Understandably she is distraught but when only one of her girls gets off at the next station, she is beside herself and it gets the readers head in a spin as to what could have happened to the other girl.Through the story we get to know Sive, her husband Aaron and Aaron’s friends from his youngers years when they were all housemates. I absolutely loved how the story twists and turns and we discover more about these characters as well as the increasing tension of who has taken Faye and if her parents will get her back. It’s set in present time with the story flicking back and forwards between the friends all meeting up in London for a few days which leads up to Faye’s disappearance. It is so cleverly done with the reader having no clue what to expect next. The chapters are relatively short which makes it impossible to put down as the author ends them in a way that you have to know what happens next. The busy setting of London raises the tension and even though the police are doing all they can, Sive, Aaron and his friends are also doing all they can to try and find her. I particularly loved Jude’s character who is a journalist who my feelings towards changed throughout and she ended up being one of my favourites. Usually we aren’t supposed to like these pushy reporters only ever out for a story but you had to give her credit for the role she plays. No One Saw A Thing is a mind blowing story that will raise your blood pressure and have your heart racing. I had to go back a couple of times to re-read parts due to unexpected twists and making sure I had read it properly as they were so shocking. It really is a roller coaster ride of a read where the twists are relentless right up until the very end. Brilliantly done!

More twists than Bill Hayley
This was a recommended read and having read other reviews I thought I would give it a go. It is a real page turner and towards the end I could not put it down. The chapters are not too long and the story is set in different times but is easy to follow as each chapter heading is clearly described. The characters are well described and they interact with each other with some interesting histories. I thought that the plot was plausible even though they live in a different world to mine. Yes there are twists mostly that I did not see coming. Some of the characters I liked more than others. Andrea Mara is a competent author and has created a great novel that I am very happy to recommend to others.

Worth a read
This is the first book I’ve read from this author. I probably won’t read another but saying that it was a fairly good story. I liked the short chapters with the cliff hangers at the end which meant you wanted to carry on reading. However the flash backs were a little tedious although put some bones to the story.I didn’t guess who the kidnapper was and made assumptions at the beginning of the book which were complete wrong!Worth a read.

It's a good read
It was very easy reading & well written but I thought it was repetitive in parts. It flicks back & fourth on the chapters to the group of friends, but for me I wanted the story to evolve faster as it was slow reading in parts. You knew it had to be one of the friends, just you didn't know which one till near the end.I did enjoy the book though.

Kept me guessing! Having a couple of kids made me guess a clue way before it came out in the book (iykyk) BUT kept the pages turning and me interested!

Fast paced with lots of twists
Great fast paced read. I didn't predict the outcome and it was different from ktehr thrullers ive read recently. It's tense right up to the end and well written. Could easily become a TV mini series.
