Excellent lock for the price
Good sturdy lock. Long enough D to go through wheel frame and secure to fixed point. With the added security of the cable if needed. Comes with three keys (bonus) which look more "pick proof" than some of the bent pieces of metal I have had in the past.

Reliable Security for Urban Rides
The SUNYA Bike Lock offers a solid security solution without breaking the bank, priced just above £20. Its sturdy build and ease of use provide me with peace of mind when locking up my bike, particularly in the bustling streets of East London. The 14mm Dia Shackle and included cable add an extra layer of protection. The 180x250mm dimensions fit well for most applications. The inclusion of three keys and a bracket for easy transport is a thoughtful touch. Overall, a dependable choice for urban cyclists seeking reliable security without a hefty price tag.

Sturdy
Excellent deterrent against theft at a good price, it's well made and sturdy but the bracket did not fit my frame well so I just carry it in my rucksack.Almost nothing is 100 percent safe but this gives me some peace of mind.

A decent smaller D-lock, with one flaw
This is a decent and perfectly serviceable D-lock. The addition of an extra cable loop means you can also use it to secure wheels, or other bikes, or helmets. The addition of a frame mount for the D-lock will interest some too. A couple of things to be aware of though: you might have bought this because you were looking for a compact, and therefore lighter, D-lock to tote around on your travels. Well, the option I chose is shorter than most, but it's not any lighter than my other D-locks because the barrel and lock assembly (the light grey bit in the photos) is thick and heavy. You might equate that with security and sturdiness, and that's good, right? Well, probably. But the real flaw is that the profile of each end of the "D" in the d-lock, i.e. the bits that plug into the barrel, is round, leaving this lock vulnerable to a "twist" attack. Bottom line, I'm happy to use this on my commuter bike, and make my rucksack a bit less full in the process, but I'm not sure I'd be happy to use it as the sole means of securing a more expensive bike.

Very secure bike lock
This is a very secure bike lock that will definitely keep your bike safe. It is very strong and thieves would struggle to break it.

A good, strong lock
I recently bought a bike to use for getting to work. Since I would have to leave it at a train station I wanted something better than just a plain cable lock. This one is perfect. It comes with spare keys so I can have one at home, one at work, and one on me. I chose the larger size. This works great because I can pull the cable through both wheels and then use the D lock to secure the bike and cable to a metal bar when I leave it.The lock opens and closes easily and so far there's no signs of rust or weakness. It feels well made and I don't think it will be cut easily. It's a little heavier but that's okay, to be expected when you want something safer than a cheap cable lock.Overall I'm very pleased with it and would buy again.

Good for occasional use
If you are a weekend cyclists this lock is for you, if you cycle to work, then maybe go to the shops after....gym, possibly using this lock 3 or 4 times a day, believe me, this lock will not last you a month, you just need to handle this lock for 10 seconds to know that.

Secure and Safe
This is the lock to buy for the bike. One can easily lock the front wheel and thread around the bike to make it secure!

Phenomenal value lock package and security peace of mind even for a skeptic like me
I've owned many U locks and have made something of an amateur study of security for several years, given the increasing sophistication and better tools in the hands of thieves these days. People who know me think I'm overly concerned or paranoid about personal security and lock robustness. I prefer to think I'm just more realistic about the threats out there, both brute force tool attacks and picking attack threats. To say I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of this Sunya model UL01 lock package is an understatement. I think it deserves one of the most favorable product reviews I've ever written! It's that good! That is in the context of price of course. I received the 10 inch version which is currently priced at $23 after coupon. I feel that this Sunya lock package compares favorably to locks selling for 2 to 4 times that. Some reviewers have complained that the lock is heavy. It IS heavy compared to most U locks of equal length, but that is because the hardened steel is thicker/denser, and the end pipe (containing the lock mechanism) is also built tough with a lot of steel. A lock that will resist brute force tool attacks is necessarily going to be heavy; the weight is an indicator. You can buy lighter U locks (I own some) but some blows with a heavy hammer, the twisting force of a pipe wrench, or plain bolt cutters are likely to defeat them. I've even seen CCTV videos of thieves using the bike itself as a lever to pry open U locks. A lightweight U lock can thus be defeated in under a minute **without tools**.My calipers show the steel of the U bar is 13 mm; with the coating it is 15 mm. These contradict the item description, but are excellent for resisting tool attacks nonetheless. And the rubber coating seems really high quality, not like tire rubber at all. The overall QC, manufacturing "fit and finish", is excellent. On to the lock mechanism: It is 7 pins (excellent) arranged to interact with the broad side of the key rather than the edge as in most house and padlock keys. This arrangement increases pick resistance. It also allows for greater torque turning the key (depending on the key cut) so if the lock is exposed to rain that freezes this type of key has good turning power without bending or breaking. They did not skimp on steel; the keys are robust, stiff steel, and there are 3 keys -- another surprise given the low $23 package price. One of the keys even has a little battery light. Finally the cylinder is buried deep within end pipe. The part of the key that engages the pins is way inside. This means tensioning the lock and picking it requires extra skill and probably more specialized tools, beyond what a typical lock picker has. A picker has to 'trick' 7 pins to pick this lock. That's a lot. Consider the ubiquitous laminated Master Lock padlock in the USA, which only has a 4 pin core, and those pins are shallow and easily accessed. Lock pickers are looking for "easy pickings" and that isn't the Sunya. So we've got a great U lock that gets very high marks for resisting both brute force and finesse attacks, in my opinion, for only $23, for the extra long version. That's already a big winner. But then there are the bonuses.-high quality protective coating against scratching bike that seems like it will last a long time-3 keys of robust and stiff steel to power through iced or corroded locks-a well made 46 inch steel cable that is supple not stiff (cables are always quickly defeated with the right tool however)-two mounting brackets to handle narrower road bike and thicker mountain bike frame mounts-a handsome box that you'll want to keep not tossAt just $23 for the 10.5 inch extra long version, I am astounded at the security value that is received. Of course any lock can be defeated by determined and well equipped thieves, but with this U lock I have peace of mind that the lock has no apparent weakness that is easily exploited, unlike most locks out there.
