I didn't use the little wire loop or plastic bit that came with them, but the main lug/split-D hardware is really robust. It's very useful if you have a cage on your camera, or other rig with lots of extra 1/4" threaded holes.

I am a photographer and the ones that I had on my other strap have rusted out. These are a different look than what I normally had but I actually like the design a lot better. I actually think they were very reasonably priced and I’m thankful they came with two so I could have a matching set for my camera strap. I’ve used them quite a few times at weddings and they’ve held out very well.

Gecic 1/4" stainless steel lug rings & screws are the best solution to protect my expensive equipment from accidently dropping to the ground & preventing their destruction. From the photographs you can see I've installed both 1/4" screws on my plate used for my VR cameras that is then attached to a mini hand grip. Reqardless how careful we are accidents do happen & yes I've experienced such hardship in the past, destroying one of my cameras. The well manufactured Gecic screws attached to a lanyard will save me thousands of dollars in future mishaps.

use these on my HEAVY Kiev 60 medium format. work great. ALWAYS keep an eye on the loosening, that goes for all mounts like this.
