Good product. Fits perfect

This arrived quickly- in only 2 days. The price was good too. Other reviewers indicated that this part does not have the pressure relief valve- and they are correct. This was not a problem for me since I was able to remove the pressure valve from the old one and install it on this new wall connector. This part fits perfectly and works perfectly! I saw some reviews stating that this was not an original Polaris part. Mine was in a bag labeled Polaris and the part was marked Polaris in the plastic. I was very pleased and am sure that if this is the part you need then you will be pleased too!

Ordered this part because the original Polaris part that was installed when the pool was built had finally cracked. The replacement part is identical to the original. Easy installation. Works perfectly.

Was not sure about ordering it with some stating it was not a genuine Polaris part. Ordered it and it is a genuine Polaris quick disconnect with the Polaris branded plastic bag and stamp on the part. It did not include the pressure relief valve which was as described. Fitting the old pressure relief valve was a bit hard as the plastic of the new disconnect was a bit tight to start with. After a few attempts, it was fine. Good price for a genuine part compared to your pool store.

Tried the after market lower cost quick disconnect first but it lasted less than a year. It's been 6 weeks with the OEM part and so far no problems,.

Appears to be genuine OEM...swapped out valve using pliers...all went well...these plastic units do deteriorate over time.

I noticed that several reviews said the part was not OEM Polaris part or that it didn’t include the pressure release component. Mine came in sealed in a real Polaris bag, and I never expected it to have the pressure release valve, since I noticed that those are sold separately on Amazon. I just unscrewed the valve from my old part and used it. I did have to use channel lock pliers to screw in the old valve, as it was a tight fit. Then I just cut the hose near the old, broken part and saved the nut from the old connection, threaded the nut onto the hose, pushed and twisted the part into the hose, then tightened the nut down (very tough to do and needed to use a crescent wrench). Works fine now. Other reason my old part broke is because I pulled on the wrong end of the hose while untangling it, plus the part was 8 years old and probably getting brittle and ready to fail. The hoses on these Polaris pool cleaners also get very stiff and lose some of their flexibility over time, that’s why mine gets tangled so frequently.

I should have read the reviews and then I would have known this doesn't come complete with the pressure relief valve. I don't really understand why it would be sold without the PRV - I mean it's pretty important to the operation of the quick disconnect! Fortunately, I needed this to replace one that had snapped at the outlet nozzle, so I can reuse the PRV from that unit. But if I had been buying this to replace a unit that had failed in any other way (and let's face it, it's more likely that the PRV would fail rather than the body), it would have been close to useless and I would have had to return it. Why not make it clear from the description and the photos that this is the body only and doesn't include the PRV?

Complete waste of money,,,,it is useless without the pressure release valve...I am sending it back !!
