Great camera with difficult installation (updated)
The camera has fallen flat on it's face. I started having problems with it after about a month. The video stream freezes constantly, you have to physically reset the breaker to get it to work again, when it is able to stream video, it is at about 2-3 FPS, which makes it completely worthless as a security camera. It is about 20 feet away from a wireless access point and it has a great signal, but connects at 1mbps up constantly. I have tried tweaking the access point, but it doesn't help. I have performed a factory reset on it more than 10 times now. It will setup and add back into Apple Homekit, but after about 2-3 hours starts having the same issues again. Pure garbage. This camera works great, has very good video quality and the light is very bright and illuminates much better than I thought it would. That being said, the installation needs some work. Having to put the base together and mount the camera before you attach the wires makes the installation very difficult. If Eve could spend some time on redesign of the mount so that wiring was easier, it would go a LONG way toward people adopting the device in my opinion. Adding the device to HomeKit was a breeze, but management of the camera is very flaky. This is probably a HomeKit issue, but about every 2 hours I have to disable audio on the camera again (I don't want to record or listen to audio in real time from the camera). I toggle audio to mute in the Home app and it turns back on after a couple of hours. The "activity zones" don't really work either, you can set them up, but they are pretty much ignored. Over all, I think the camera (as well as other HomeKit exclusive cameras} is over prices significantly, if it were $100 less, it would be a 5 star price-value.

Excellent night light and HomeKit integration
This camera hasn’t disappointed - the automatic light detects movement in a specified area and turns on the light - this is very useful both as a deterrent and for me having light at night without having to remember to switch on a light - for example when I put out the trash at night. The security camera feature detects people and sends an alert that pops up on my iPhone, iPad, Mac book and Apple Watch wherever I am in the world. It even does facial recognition based on the people that you’ve identified in you apple photo album. I really like that the camera is hard wired to the power so that I’m never worried about needing to recharge a battery as the light feature I use frequently. I’m looking to install more of these camera..

Doesn't install to junction box by default
Do you have a junction box for where you want to install this unit? If so, know that Eve has decided to not include the mounting bracket. So you have to go find their shop site and order it (which is... free). Oh yea, only one per person so if you have multiple units you need to talk to support.Speaking of free brackets, why not just put it in the box then? Now they're wasting more gas and resources shipping these tiny bits around then it would be to just have them in all boxes. Or have a "kit" for US customers where it is bundled together. So order that first and have it on-hand before ordering this. Otherwise you'll eat up a good week or so of the return period just trying to get it installed correctly. For something of this price range, I had better be able to open box and install with everything included. High chance of getting a return on this alone. No forethought on what should be included in the box. I don't have high hopes of the unit being good quality. If company management is that bad in one area, the tech side of the house can't be doing good either here. Which is sad since I own a few other Eve products and they are a delight. Whomever is running this show is not giving the brand a good image.

In less than a month EVE stopped working
After less than one month, the unit stopped working. To make matters worse, it will not reconnect either through the Home app or the EVE app. Neither app recognizes the camera and will not reload it. I have checked the power - no problem; checked all connections - all connections are secure; I have rebooted the router and Apple TV; all of my Apple software is up to date; I have removed and reinstalled the EVE app on my phone; all connections/settings have remained the same as when it was first connected and the camera and router are in the same physical locations as before; and I have made certain to set my iPhone to 2.4 gigs; but nothing works to get this camera to set up and back online. I have contacted EVE support and have a running dialogue with them, but they keep saying the same thing, i.e. check your router, make certain to use 2.4 gigs. The bottom line is that they do not have an answer as to why it stopped working and as to why it will not reconnect. When I suggest that the unit itself is bad, they fail to address that as a possibility. Perhaps I am wrong, but if all connections/settings remained the same as before it stopped working, and if all electrical connections are secure, and given that there have been no internet connection failures/losses or power loss events either before or after the stoppage event, that the problem is with the unit. My next step is a warranty claim. Let's see if the manufacturer will honor its warranty.
