Work's great out of the box. HP Chromebook is plug n play. My daughter has AP classes, they supply a 10" Chromebook and expect the students to do long calculus. Paired with a 40" smart TV, makes a hell of a good setup! Less expensive work around for an expensive large monitor.

I bought this adapter to connect my Windows 11 Home laptop's (HP Envy x360 14-es0013dx) USB-C DisplayPort to a 2nd external HDMI monitor via a dual-monitor KVM switch, which required a USB-A connection for the mouse & keyboard. Now, with this adapter, I have 2 external HDMI monitors (1 connected to laptop's HDMI out port and 1 connected to this adapter's HDMI out port), in addition to the laptop's built-in screen. Plus, the mouse & keyboard connection is handled by the adapter's USB-A port, and I still have the adapter's USB-C port available for use. Additionally, the adapter feels sturdy, feels of high-quality materials and appears to be of good build quality. If this adapter fits your needs, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this one.

At first it was working great with our phone. But now after a couple weeks it wont charge the phone anymore while our daughter is watching it... which was a huge reason for us to order this one.
