Have had many knife sharpeners over the years and usually ended up disappointed with the sharpness but this one actually seems to do the job. I have tried it on my Swiss Army knife and kitchen food preparation knives and with a couple of runs through the coarse and then half a dozen through the fine apertures brought them all to reasonable sharpness. Very good

After 4/5 strokes on either end, steel knife sliced through A4 sheets of paper like butter!
