Great chin-up assist tool
This pull-up assist band was exactly what I was looking for to go along with the Beachbody Hammer and Chisel program that I am doing. It is working great and easily slides off to the side or unclips when not in use.

Helps an old dog do new tricks
For 66 I'm in not-bad shape, but chin-ups have eluded me. The pull up assist band has been great in helping me finally start getting somewhere with it. Yeah, it's a bit of a cheat, but by being able to do pull-ups/chin-ups even with this "helping tool", I'm gradually increasing my strength, and I'm closer to being able to do it on my own.The materials are quality, and I feel secure using it--not worried that it's going to suddenly snap in my face or leave me in a heap on the floor. It comes with a nice carry bag. I'm deducting one star because it had zero instructions on how to set it up. (If you have found my review helpful, I'd really appreciate if you would click the "Helpful" button. Thanks so much for reading! Liz)

Nice setup, poor resistance
The overall apparatus was well constructed and easy to use. The bands were too easily stretched not enough resistance and i don't know what the hand grips were for, if to wrap the pull up bar, waste of time.

Very Poor Quality
Initially, I was quite impressed with this product. Purchased it about 45 days ago. I used it 2 or 3 times a week. About a week ago, one of the two plastic channels holding the rubber bands broke into two pieces. I weigh only 150 lbs, so it is not my weight that broke it. Yesterday, when I was trying to figure out if there was a way to fix it, I noticed that the rubber bands themselves are falling apart, too.

Great product!
Ive been using this for a couple of weeks now. Works great! I actually like it better than bands I used in the past. It design for chin-ups and pull-up specifically. Also, the hand grips that come with it work really well. I didn’t know what they were when I ordered it, but love them now. Got my buddy hooked on them too.

Good quality equipment so far
I expected too much. Everything is relative - your own strength, your weight. I adjust the foot strap to about hip height. At least with this tool I can pull up a few inches at a time - more than without. Continues exercise will improve. I probably need a 2nd one for my other leg too.Good quality equipment so far, nice bag.

Great accessory
I bought this to hang over our pull up bar to try to get stronger at pull ups. It works great. My kids even get on it and try to do pull ups on it, too.

Pull up Assistance
I am over 6 feet tall and weigh 215 pounds. Before purchasing this tool, I was able to do around 8-10 pull ups my first set, 6 my second set and then 3-4 my third set without any assistance. While I found I was making gains in other areas of strength training with lifting 4-5 times per week or doing programs like P90x or Body Beast, I felt that I did the same number of pull ups every time I worked out. I have used a chair before, but I felt it was too easy to cheat using your legs.I bought this to help me do extra pull ups after I couldn't do any without assistance. At my weight, the assistance helps, but it still requires you to do a lot of work. After I can't do any unassisted pull ups, I can usually do an additional 3-6 pull ups with the assistance band, but then it is not strong enough and if I want to do more I will have to place a chair under my other leg. I have it set at its shortest length for maximum assistance. This is much better than using a chair, as you cannot cheat as much, however I wish it provided more assistance at times.I have only used it for 2 weeks, so I cannot comment on if it has improved the number of unassisted pull ups I can do, but I believe it should help as every time I do pull ups I am pushing my muscles more. After another few months of use I will try to update my review on if it actually helped my muscle gains. If you weigh over 200 pounds and cannot do a single pull up, you may not be able to do a pull up or only a few pull ups with this band.Others in this situation have commented about buying 2 to help. It's easy to use, adjust and store.
