They inflate and twist just as a twisting balloon should. I've done three , only pictured two .I used a cheap pump for the first one and it was hard but it was the pump.Once I used a good hand pump they inflated within 2-3 secs and twisted these two dogs in under two minutes no issues.I have a party I'm twisting at on a couple weeks and if they give me trouble I will update my review

I really don't understand the negative reviews of these balloons. I not a professional or anything, but I enjoy making balloon animals for my kids and their friends and after trying (and being very disappointed by) cheap balloons one time, I started ordering only Qualatex, despite the high cost. Luckily, I was able to order these for free through Amazon Vine and figured it'd be worth trying.When I recieved the balloons, I was not impressed with the packaging. These come vacuum sealed, laid flat, with two sheets of eye stickers (the stickers being a nice touch). I didn't care for the fact that the package needed to be cut open and the bag can't really be reused.Anyway, once I got to the balloons, I stretched one out and pumped it up. No problems. The balloon felt very similar to the Qualatex balloons I'm familiar with. The quality does seem a hair cheaper, but really quite close. I twisted a dog without issue. I proceeded to filled three more balloons and started twisting different animals. Everything twisted fine and I only had one pop while making a bear, but even with Qualatex, I sometimes have balloons pop when making a bear due to the design.These are a bit cheaper feeling than Qualatex, but not by much. Given the price difference, when I run out of balloons, I'll likely order more of these.Note: as mentioned above, I recieved these balloons for free. But even though it was free, this is a completely honest review. I write many reviews of free products and as you can see by clicking on my name, I've rated free products 5 stars and just 1. This review reflects my honest opinion.

The colors are nice. The animals are too cute. i like that it comes with eye stickers, but my boys wish they didn't all have "lashes"

First time buying long balloons. It's hard to make animals with since the balloons are not very long. I bought to have the kids play with them and maybe learn to make a few things but they aren't very long which is what you need when making animals

I used these 260 balloons to tie a balloon garland together. I would not buy them again. The ripped SO easily. They were very brittle. I highly doubt they would work well if you tried to blow them up for their intended purpose.

Not so easy trying to master "balloon twisting" though I think it would be a little easier if these balloons were a little better quality. They seem to pop fairly easy. It would also be a plus if they came with or were offered with a pump. Near impossible to inflate with a hand pump or an air compressor.

I tried balloon after balloon, they all break or rip. Returning. I would not recommend these. Many tears from my little ones due to balloons breaking.

I bought these to make animals for birthdays at school. Terrible luck with them, they kept popping. It would take 4 balloons to make 1 simple dog. Will need to look for better quality next time.
