At first I thought these had blue chipped paint on them and that they looked used and bent up. Turns out they are covered in a blue plastic coating. By the way it comes off slot more easily if you get them wet. Now they look like the picture. A nice new perfectly good set of hand tools.!

This set of gardening tools was a great buy and well made. Glad I found them. I highly recommend.

We use the tool set when repotting or otherwise caring for our indoor plants. The size and functions are 'perfect' when working with plants. When we use these tools to do those jobs, we end up with less mess to cleanup than we do when we use 'regular' sized garden tools.

Using these for re-potting plants. Like the sturdiness of the tools.

This is the first gardening shovel that has not bent since using my grandparents’ set years ago. The wooden handles of this 4-piece set are solid and easy to grip. Without gloves, they are a bit slippery when sweating or wet with water, but that really isn’t a problem as I do my gardening with protective handwear. As shared, the metal tool portion of each piece is extremely sturdy and durable. The edges are sharp enough to do their job, yet not sharp enough to cut oneself with normal care. The bonus of the set is the ruler that is engraved in the transplanter tool. Another plus is the segregated edges of the multipurpose tool. Living in humid Florida, I am always concerned about rust, but after a few uses and being garage kept, they are holding up nicely – see photo. (After washing the tools, I do let them dry indoors before storing them outdoors.) I cannot comment on the durability of the straps for hanging the tools as I keep mine in pockets of a garden tool caddy. Gardening is once again going to be a relaxing activity instead of one filled with frustration now that I have the proper tools to enjoy my hobby.Note: As a Vine Voice, it is my intention to help sellers improve their product while highlighting the features of it. I wouldn't call these the sturdiest or best-engineered gardening tools I've come across, but then again, they're less than $3.50 apiece. Premium gardening tools, the kind you expect to hand down to multiple generations to admire and use, are likely 10 times that expensive...or more.So, that said, this is a good basic set for the beginning gardener, or someone who does rooftop or indoor gardening in the city and just doesn't need much more. They're attractive, and include a weeding rake, a bulb planter (or seedling transplanter), a standard spade, and a wider, toothed spade that's apparently intended for excavating larger amounts of dirt but really is just a slightly wider spade.One nice touch: The bulb spade has measurements marked directly into the blade, which makes it easy to see if you've dug deep enough.Recommended for beginners and casual gardeners.
