Awesome Looking And Not Childish. Very Challenging
A lot of the book nook pirate themed kits are childish. This one is not. It's stunning with beautifully painted finishes and realistic cut outs.Pros: The directions have shaded diagrams for front/back. For the most part it's easy to understand. Most kits do not and you spend forever figuring it out. The attention to details is fantastic. The stairs, the decks, treasure chests, the pirates and the walls, inside and out. Everything punches out without problems and aligns perfectly. Parts are easy to find and you aren't searching through the sets looking for pieces.Cons: The pieces fit very tightly and there are a LOT of pieces to this kit. This is a challenging kit and needs a lot of patience because of the tight fit. Nothing broke and I eventually got the tabs in. I had to rage quit a couple of times though. Trying to get the staircases connecting to the next floor and the side walls were a source of rage quiting. This is an amazing kit and once you get the hang of how the pieces work it is tons of fun. Don't let the tight fit drive you crazy.

Not worth it at ALL
I bought the cyberpunk book end because I have done a few of these before and they have all been fun, and thought it was time for a more futuristic style than the more antique looking ones I've done. This kit is by far the WORST put together one I have ever seen. The instructions are convoluted, complete with grainy, blurry photos and awful translations for everything. It says it comes with a bottle of latex, but it comes with no latex or glue. It's got a massive sheet of decals to put on the loose pieces, but they aren't even stickers. You have to cut them all out by hand. I'm not even going to try to attempt this hot mess. Into the garbage it goes, it's not worth the headache. Take your hobby elsewhere!

adorable kit
a very cute kit, even has extras of some of the smaller and easy to loose pieces. it does come with sand paper but i found i didn't need it, things just fit into place perfectly. if anything i think i only needed to use glue twice in this project. if you're intimidated by the LEDs and wiring, don't be, its all pre-wired. you just need to plug things in to where they go.i finished this in 4 or so hours and it looks as cute as advertised. good for if you're experienced with wood puzzles.

Important to read reviews
I have worked on my nooks over the years and didn't read the reviews for this one. I bought the Christmas nook and it took approximately 40+ hours to assemble. All graphics need to be prayed on the wood parts and the cut out windows and far from perfect. It does look awesome when complete! Nothing easy about it though. Even the Christmas tree and the bows were a pain in the butt.

I love book nooks
I did not love this. I am not having fun.The glue given does not glue. I had to buy something that actually works. Most book books are a snap and go kind of deal. This is actually building everything, from scratch, with glue that doesn’t hold ANYTHING together. I’m talking, you build the trees and shrubs; not just decorate them.Bags are not labeled. Instructions are “translated” and therefore not always understandable.I am not enjoying this, non-book nook. 😒

Buy lots of Glue
So, my daughter and I both got one of these to do together. Mine came with non-glossy printer paper pics to be cut out. Hers came with pretty glossy paper to cut out. So, her final product looked a little more nice and finished. There are no stickers with this book nook. You will be cutting out and gluing every tiny little thing. Instructions are a little hard to understand. There is no glue! Buy a LOT of glue! We used a lot of glue sticks and a lot of super glue. There is no way this all stays together without a lot of glue. Also, there are no batteries so buy batteries, you will need 3. So basically you are buying lots of paper to be cut out and lots of unlabeled wood pieces that you have to measure because they aren't labeled to know what tiny piece of paper that you cut out goes to that little random wood piece. Neither one of ours fit together perfectly because the main base doesn't have any way of fitting together perfectly. You just gotta make it work somehow and be creative and cover holes or things that didn't work with decorations. In the end they turned out cute enough and you can't see how bad the sides and bottom and everything looks on ours cause books are on each side. It was still I guess, a fun little thing for us to do together. We put a little more that 24 hours of work into each of ours. Oh, also buy a little thing of electrical tape. The tape they provide doesn't work well on the wires at all. Honestly with all the stuff you have to buy and provide to put this thing together it shouldn't cost more than like $20. I want to do more of these but probably won't buy anymore from this seller.

Boyfriend loved this puzzle for our 1 year. We built it together
Be careful the parts are all made of wood and you have to punch them out of place. Make sure you don't break any pieces either cause some of the parts are small or thin.My boyfriend loved this as his gift and he wants to collect them all now.We are satisfied! The cat town all the cats are so adorable and small. Thank you for a great product!

Very poor product; move on.
I have built two previous book nook projects. The instructions on this one (from “tomyoung”) are almost impossible to read, with unclear wording. Some of the various bags that all the parts come in are not labelled. I had to completely empty one bag, filled with teeny tiny pieces, in order to find some parts. There are no instructions as to what kind of glue to use. I just had to guess, and some glued pieces fell apart even after two hours of drying. There are no marking on the large pieces to indicate where others pieces should be placed. I knew the kit did not come with the necessary batteries, but the printed instructions don’t even say what kind of batteries are required. This product is inexpensive compared to other book nook kits, and now I know why it is so cheap. I do not recommend this product from this vendor.
