Amazing movie!

I’m a sucker for stories about the immigrant experience but this is so much more than that. It’s a story of the human condition- how life’s twists and turns of the past result in the place we all find ourselves in- the now. And how everyone ponders how our lives would have been so different if we had made a different choice along that road. The acting is superb. The awkward silences are essential to conveying the chasm of fates between characters. The story is heart wrenching because it is so utterly relatable. It is simple and sparse. No flashy consumes , no special effects, no super heroes.

A really lovely film. Written and directed with heart and intelligence, the film also features some terrific acting. I felt for the characters. The story was told with grace and had just a wonderful flow to it.

We thought we would love it due to the subject matter, but it seemed pretty flat and disconnected emotionally. Maybe the was the point, but it never stopped being boring to watch.

If you are reading this comment MAYBE you haven't watched and are considering - to which I say STOP waiting and watch this movie now. There's a reason it was nominated and winning awards when it came out. I'm not going to try to describe the story. But it is a rom-com but about real adults, real life. Its warm, sweet, sentimental, and just a pinch of longing. It's how the story is so Well Acted that makes it rise above others. Also extremely well written and directed. WATCH THIS Now!!

This movie is well written, and every feeling and emotion was perfectly displayed within this movie. We've all been there where we feel out of place, especially coming from another country. We fall in love with someone who isn't from our culture, and then a past true love reappears and that instant connection reappears and you are filled with the most confusing feelings ever.... This movie goes through the emotional fatigue of everyone involved, the husband who is fighting his jealousy, the ex boyfriend who is fighting his love for the woman, and the woman who is beyond conflicted with her emotions and feelings.... This is truly a beautiful movie that has a balance leaving you not hating anyone involved, it leaves you understanding everyone who is involved which is precious. Great movie

Ayer por la tarde me llego la película, un día antes de la fecha de entrega. Amazon siempre luciendo en ese aspecto. Por otra parte la edición es bonita, viene con su slipcover y no llego golpeada de las esquinas En temas de video, la película se ve estupenda, muy bonita fotografía llena de planos fijos pero bellos. Y que mejores planos qué la famosa Nueva York. En cuanto a la historia principal se puede decir que es simple pero funciona, te deja un lindo mensaje sobre las conexiones sentimentales qué vamos teniendo a lo largo de nuestra vida y como nos van siguiendo para siempre y nos hace preguntarnos el "qué pasaría si" todavía estuviéramos con esa persona. No será una película para todo el mundo y me la van a criticar feo, pero si te agarra en un momento sentimental si la vas a sentir.. . Y mucho

Esse filme é brutal e visceral. A cena final ficará gravada na minha memória para todo o sempre e a atuação da Greta Lee deveria ter sido contemplada com uma indicação ao Oscar de melhor atriz (no meu coração, ela saiu vencedora). Sobre o DVD, a edição é bem simples (mas boa). A imagem está ótima e o som também. O filme possui alguns conteúdos extras, como cenas deletadas, comentários e bastidores. Vou chorar muito quando for rever. Celine Song, você é maravilhosa!
