This doorbell doesn't require batteries to work! The outside unit must send a signal to the inside unit which has a nice loud ring. You can also have different rings and adjust the volume as you wish. I didn't do any "adjustments" on it as it tested out plenty loud right out of the box.It is easy to install, but the outside surface should be clean if you are using the two sided sticky tape. I'm not sure how far away the transmitter (outside device) will transmit to the indoor speaker unit. Don't know if it would work transmitting through metal as it must be using some sort of radio signal. But this would be the same problem with any wireless system.Again I must say this is a really good doorbell and is reasonably priced for what you are getting!

Works Well Upstairs or Downstair

I like the fact that the door push button does not have a battery, What I dislike is that sometimes it goes off not often and no one there. (And no its not knock door run).

I'm very pleased. Now, every time someone rings my doorbell I can hear it.Very easy to install and now when someone rings my doorbell, I have the control of the volume and the tone I want. My old doorbell was so old that I could not hear it ring. I can now hear it and with a pleasant ring. Installation was a snap. Plug in one part and put the sticker in the back of the other part and just stick to the front door and I'm done.

We love this doorbell! So much so that we purchased another for the back door! Couldn't be a simpler installation . . . just peel off the backing and adhere to the wall by your door, plug in the receiver, and BINGO! (Or a slew of other tones of your choice!) Volume control as well! Sounds great, looks great, and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that there are NO batteries to replace! We will be gifting some at Christmas!

Easy to use the included strong adhesive backing to stick the bell at the front door. The chimes speaker is plugged in to any three-pronged outlet. Easy to cycle through on the speaker till you find a chime you like. If there are any questions or concerns the service department is excellent.

This product outperformed every other bell I have tried. Plus, it doesn't eliminate an outlet. And it has the added feature of two USB plugs. I couldn't be more pleased.

If you live in an apartment or house without a door bell and find it hard to hear a knock on your door this is just what you need. Very easy to setup and has many ringtones to choose from. The volume is adjustable from very low and very high. It will not disappointment you.

This is a wonderful device! No batteries, easy install and we can still use the outlet it's plugged into. Only problem were the "false alarms" such as random ringing at 1am. I blamed the neighbors for pranking me but they're old and in bed by 9pm. Solution was to reset the transmitter frequency as per the manual.5 stats after the reset.

The media could not be loaded. This is the BEST and EASIEST doorbell I’ve ever had. Just stick it on outside, plug it in and it works!!! Love that the inside controller has a place in front for a plug so I plugged my landline phone into it. On the top, there are two USB ports so I plugged my pet cam into one. It’s an amazing doorbell!!! I LOVE IT!!
