The Flying Sewing Machine Paperback – Picture Book, November 21, 2017

I bought many copies of this book to share with my quilting friends and favorite quilt shops as a tribute to the author, Nancy Zieman, who passed away in November 2017. It's a cute story for adults and kids.

I only wish this book was around when my children were little, but even though they're teenagers now I couldn't resist buying this for myself! I grew up watching Sewing with Nancy on PBS. As a children's book, this is geared towards toddlers. It is short enough to keep they're attention, and the rhyming verses are cute. Illustrations are adorable too!

An imaginative and pleasurable book for quilters to enjoy with children and grandchildren. The Main characters are girls though and I wish a boy could also have been included in the storyline. I enjoy books for children where main characters are diverse. For me, that was the one drawback but the book is still delightful.

nice story bought more for nostalgia. I have read it to my grandkids and they seem to enjoy it.

A lovely souvenir to remember an important figure in sewing. Maybe not the worlds best writing, but it's still a good book and my 5 year old liked it.

Cute book. I used it as a read aloud for my granddaughters 1st grade class. They liked it

I am an avid sewist and this book was not what I expected. And, there is no real discussion os sewing in it. I was hoping it would be a fun read for my grandchildren.

Cute story. Bought it as one item in a gift basket with a quilting theme for a friend who loves to sew and loves children (former kindergarten teacher)
