very helpful
I’m going to re read this and complete all the tasks (as advised in the book). I’ve already started transforming my bank accounts - it’s a real eye opener working through the book and being honest with yourself. I only wish it was a little more succinct. The examples were useful but sometimes quite long winded.

Brilliant book to give you focus and determination!
As soon as I received this book, I tore through it! The other reviews helped me choose this book, and I'm glad I did. I needed to put my finances into order and give them a direction, and it has helped me in so many ways. I can't apply everything that is advised in this book just yet, you have to pick and choose what is adaptable to your personal situation in that moment, but I am sure to go back to it many times to give myself a refresher course and keep my finances on track! Something that I was already doing was writing down income and expenses every month, but this book gave me great advice to go further with the monthly chart, and I am pleased to see my savings go up every month, even though I don't earn a lot! Because of this, I have managed to pay off all my debts in 6 months. It has given me lots of confidence and determination aswell. I have never been a big spender, but this has helped me have more control over my financial situation, and not have any nasty surprises.I have recommended this book around me, and my copy is already in the hands of a friend!

Changed my relationship with money
I read this book a couple of years ago and I can now say that it has had a profound effect on me. I consciously think before I spend and it has become second nature to take a break before buying something, so I can see if I truly needed it in the first place. I now spend less than I earn and I have saved a sizeable amount of money which I now invest, which in turn earns me money instead. There is an analogy in the book of looking at money as your physical time spent to earn that money, and that alone is a powerful tool. You must read this if you are struggling to save or find yourself in a cycle of debt. A game changer.

Game changer!
What a total gamechanger this book is - I read it in a day and am now going back to Chapter 1 to absorb the details! Far more than a book about personal finances, it's also a personal development guide to help you figure out what you really want out of your life, while also training away the money-wasting habits that you've developed. Recognising how much is enough money to have a life you love, and freeing your mind from the illusion that buying stuff will make you happier were the two points that most hit home for me. I'm excited to start putting everything I've learned into practice and developing a conscious and empowered relationship with money for the first time ever.

Some great concepts
- a very good resource for those who have not yet studied, read about or been thought about the principles of financial independence.- prompts you to think deeply about your core values and understand what is truly important to you.- points you in the direction of taking action according to those values - only spending on what brings you genuine joy and what you actually need to live- there are many other, better books regarding specific investment strategies. However this is an excellent grounding in understand yourself and then applying that understanding to your financial life decisions

Essential - if you can stick with it
This is definitely a good book if you really need to get a hold of your finances. Don't be fooled, though: it takes a lot of commitment. I started doing the steps and then stopped half way through. However, I am determined to go back and do it properly. The authors are honest with you: if you don't have the commitment it won't work. This includes doing things like tracking every penny you spend for a few months. Yes, every penny. VERY boring for a carefree, numbers hating, lets-go-and-have-fun-instead person like me, but necessary if you really want to see change. If you are anything like me (enough money, not in massive debt but can't be bothered to open bank statements so whoops, I'm in my overdraft again and hmm, where did that payrise go..?) then you probably know that you need to change your behaviour. This book does a good job of giving you the tools to do it...whether you follow them is up to you.So, this is not a get rich quick thing. It's about understanding how you relate to money and addresses fundamental issues of the way we live today.Buy it: it's good!

Absolutely great. Learning about money is learning about how your spend your life energy. Figure out if you are really getting value for money (life) out of what you spend your money on. Foundational work which is brilliant to read and learn about. If you are serious about getting out of debt, getting savings and living a more fulfilled life, then this is a great book to read. They talk about 'enough' - rather than this constant striving for 'more'. My body relaxes when I look around my house and see that I have more than enough. Its helping me maintain the things I do have, and choose more carefully what I spend my money on next. I'm being more creative and resourceful, but not in a scrooge-like way, its actually fun and empowering.
