The manufacturer box was packed inside a larger box that looks like a 4 foot 4x4 post. I bought this as a gift for a young adult who loves all things Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Resident Evil. After opening the box, you will find a black linen bag that encases the sheathed sword. Once out, you now have an impeccable katana sword in its sheath. The handle is ornate and boldly contrasts the gold dragon designs against the black handle, which is comfortable for holding in one or both hands. Unsheathed, the katana blade has a metallic black contrast with gold dragon designs on both sides of the blade. And this blade is sharp so be careful when handling -- definitely recommend keeping it away from those younger than age 16, or anyone who is irresponsible. This sword is a work of art and the craftmanship shows. This is my first katana sword purchase and now I almost want to keep it for myself - it looks that amazing! This was a steal for the price because I have seen other swords sell for 3-4 times the price quite easily. Overall, I definitely recommend Masukisuki katana swords for any martial arts or cosplay enthusiast, or even just to have displayed in a man cave.

Can't be beat for the price. It came fairly well sharpened and looks great. The balance point is OK, adequate for sure. Everyone who sees this beauty is always impressed by its looks and feel. This seems to be more pulp fiction than kill bill... but I have no doubts about it's abilities.

I got this Katana several months ago in advance of giving it away as a Christmas present. The look of my teenage son opening this Katana was priceless!!! The WOW FACTOR was off the charts and was an instant hit present for Christmas. He was in shock at how both beautiful the Katana looked in appearance, alongside with the incredible quality that the sword was constructed. The blade itself is very sharp and very REAL!!! This will cut anything, so you definitely need to be careful when handling. The beautiful engravings along the blade's length set things off perfectly. The hand wrapped handle is authentic providing a very secure grip. To top things off, if it was possible to make this Katana any better is a incredible design applied to the outside of the scabbard that holds the Katana. It is the perfect package!!! Great gift that I highly recommend!!!

My daughter has been involved in martial arts for over eight years. She has a deep love for martial arts as well as their rich history and culture, which is why this made a great addition to her dojo (aka gym).Make no mistake about it, this is a real sword and not a toy. The blade is relatively sharp and can easily cause injury if not properly handled. The sword is made of high carbon steel that is oil quenched. Before handling I suggest taking a smooth cloth rag to remove any remaining oil from the blade. From the full tang to the guard, this sword has a lot of authentic design features. The blade, guard, handle and sheath all boast a great deal of intricate and beautiful designs. The handle wrap is extremely comfortable and feels good in your hands. The sword does have some heft to it, so I recommend using two hands to hold and wield it. This is a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship and will make an amazing display.

also, it claimed it was sharp. the blade does not have an actual finished edge on it. the handgrip and hilt look embarrassingly cheap.

I really like this black sword. It looks sleek and dark and deadly. The sheath is very pretty and the only one without a different color tip. The sword itself is a quality on par with the others. There are all kinds of imperfections but for the price it's a nice sharp full tang katana!
