Nice and compact, the auto-open mechanism is pretty cool. Just hit the button and it's opens really fast, just watch where you point it when you hit the button! Seems nice and sturdy and well made, and keeps the rain off, not like a big golf umbrella, but that's the trade off for compactness. It's a pain to get back in the little bag, but once you do it's nice and compact and easy to fit in a bag. I was under illusion that the auto open/close feature would also compress main shaft back down, but pressing the button to close it just collapses the brolly, you have to then compress the shaft back down manually, but this is the same as another make large golf umbrella we bought at the same time. So can't really moan about that for the price.

Quite simply, I am very pleased with this umbrella. It comes with a cover which has not been re-applied since it was removed shortly after I received the parcel and unwrapped it. It's just another step in the process and, to be honest, the small strap which keeps the unfurled umbrella wrapped up neatly is more than sufficient. As of the time of writing this review, the cover has found its way into the bottom kitchen drawer where it will probably live out its life in comfort alongside a plethora of other 'better hang onto that, just in case' items. The umbrella itself, though. Nice. There's a weight to it which simply adds to the sturdy feel, but not enough to make it unwieldy or tiresome on the arm when in use. Most likely this comes from the solid shaft and ribs which, once again, give a certain peace of mind that it won't give at the first strong gust of wind. In fact, I suspect that if you were to unfurl it during gale force winds you may find yourself on a Mary Poppins-esque journey with the umbrella as opposed to it simply folding inside out. The single button operation is very 'positive' and responsive. One press and POP - it's unfurled. Another press and another pop, the umbrella collapses in at the end of the extended shaft, requiring you to push it down to the handle in order to wrap the strap around to store it away. The canopy, when unfurled, is generous enough to provide for one person comfortably. Since purchase I've not experienced cause to use the umbrella as the weather has remained remarkably mild during my excursions into the outside world, but as I walk my daughter to school and back I do carry this with me now - just in case. I reserve the right to amend this review at a later date should I find any issues with it preventing me from being soaked, but if there are no revisions you may take it as a positive sign that the umbrella has done its job to keep me dry during these daily walks to and fro. In summary: Nice and sturdy feel with quick and positive open/close action. Very pleased to welcome this into my armoury against the onslaught of the British weather. :-)

Good umbrella and recommended

It's a standard umbrella. Big enough for 1 person. But the ad said, "strong windproof", it's not. Had a lorry go by & the was enough wind to invert the umbrella. I'm quite disappointed, as I walk to/from work and need a reliable umbrella that's not too big.

I’ve only had this umbrella for a month and used it a few times. Yesterday the umbrella broke. I’m not happy as my return ran out on 3rd November

This umbrella is perfect! It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and opens quickly when I need it. It feels sturdy even on windy days, and the size gives great coverage without being bulky. I’ve already used it several times and it’s held up beautifully. Stylish, reliable, and definitely worth the purchase!

Seems sturdy and a good size to fit in a bag without being too small when up. It doesn't bother me, but I need two hands to pull it into fully shut.
