This is the only best-of compilation (AFAIK) that includes "The Only Flame in Town", which evidently Elvis never liked but is in fact one of his best tunes. And it's a song that you want on a greatest hits comp because you sure don't want to buy the crappy album it originally appeared on (_Goodbye Cruel World_).This CD's only shortcoming is the lack of "High Fidelity", from the _Get Happy!_ album. I would also have included "Less Than Zero" from the debut, but I can live without it. Of course to be complete, a best-of comp would have to include the entirety of the albums _This Year's Model_ and _Imperial Bedroom_, and most of _Armed Forces_ and _Trust_.Later compilations are also weighted down by too much of his later work, which IMO is just not entertaining, so this the fact that this comp ends so early is actually another strength.

The talent drips off of this Costello Best Of, & gets all over your skin. It sinks into your pores, then makes a mad dash to your central nervous system. After...you will never be the same. Of course, this is just my opinion(which is never wrong-look it up) And they went & added "Red Shoes"? Oh...it's a done deal.

CD was great. Too bad it took me 20+ years to buy this disc I forgot how good the old Elvis Costello music was.

I had this CD but after years of not finding it I realized it was in the CD player of the car I sold a couple years ago. This one was only 1 penny and 3.99 for shipping. Was new and is just as I remembered it. Though I hear a lot more jazz influence in much of the material that I seem to have missed in the past.

Yes, the cd plays good. The case was cracked, ok I could change the case. The cd was not clean. I think that you can try to make it look new? I would try someone new if i purchased another used CD.
