Very nice rod
So far so good. I paired this rod with a Lews light weight spinning reel and couldn't be happier. I bought this to fish our neighborhood ponds and I am very happy with it's performance.

Like the pole I grew up with
I grew up fishing for natives in small streams. This has that fiberglass feel that is so nice in an ultralight. I don't need much power to set the hook and with 4 lbs test on the reel can make a 6 to 8 foot cast with only the weight of the worm.All of the polls I have purchased as an adult feel "stiff", even in ultralight. I never really thought that most rods are no longer fiberglass. Wonderfull on smallish mountain streams.
