This is a really handy tool for messing about with wood and comes in a nice sturdy leather case.Only quibble is that the cutting edge of the dowel/peg cutter was a bit blunt but twenty minutes with a sharpening stone got it nice and sharp and made for a far cleaner cuts.

The tool itself is very well made. Flawless machining, heavy duty strong metal, no bend or flew in use, no sign of the thread being worn down. It's very good quality and a reliable tool. The case is the reason for the one star reduction of its rating. It looks much lighter in reality. The images on Amazon makes the leather look a lot more aesthetically pleasing. The one I have is well made and a good case, it just looks a lot lighter. Still far from being a cheap tacky case. It does a good job at protecting everything else in my kit from getting damaged by this.The tool is well designed and a good size to work with. It's easy to use as the pilot hole starts off the process well. I'm glad to have this in my camp kit.
