I've been using only 3mil pouches, but the lamination speed varies with each pouch. Sometimes it's 9 seconds, sometimes it's 16 seconds per pouch. At 16 seconds the pouch starts melting.After every 12 pouches, it says to use the included cleaning sheet. This seems excessive. Also, this "cleaning sheet" is simply a thin piece of cardstock - nothing proprietary or special.There is a loud knocking noise when the rollers are running, which is cause for concern.The unit does heat up super fast.Will be returning.
