This is a beautiful addition to my cookware. It is heavy but durable for baking. I love that it has a lid. The size could accommodate many cooking items.

First of all, note that the dimensions for these casserole dishes - pretty much ALL casserole dishes, not just vancasso - are EXTERIOR, not interior, and they include the handles! So it's important to adjust your expectations accordingly. The interior dimensions are about 7 3/4 x 11 1/2. But I love the dish anyway. I sometimes like to buy refrigerated entrees at Sam's club, which come in a very decent aluminum tray. The tray has a plastic lid so you can see what it you're buying, but prep calls for covering the tray before it goes in the oven, so you have to use foil. Anyway this vancasso dish is almost exactly the same size as the aluminum tray, so I transfer the entree to the vancasso casserole and put the cover on before I put it in the oven. When it's time to serve, the casserole looks good on the table and if there are leftovers, the cover goes back on and it goes back in the fridge. Caution - the dish and the lid are heavy and the knob on the lid isn't easy to grab with a potholder so, so extra care is advised. The picture shows Sam's Club rotisserie chicken enchiladas (which are great!) and the aluminum dish they came in. They fit in the vancasso perfectly.

Beautiful cookware / serving dish. Very heavy weight - blue finish is awesome. We ordered both sizes, my wife is very pleased!

The wife and i love this pan works great for mac and cheese we make everthing from scratch and also will hold a 2.5# chicken cut in half with carrots and potatoes.
