6 TB storage) - Good display (If you prefer matte and no touch screen) ...
This is identical to System76 Galaga Pro in terms of hardware. Cheaper if you wan't bare bones. I run Linux and everything is supported out of the box, Intel ME microcode is said to be fixed already, but I ran the patch System76 pushed out anyways.Pros- Thin (acceptable flex)- Alloy casing- Thunderbolt3 (external GPU is an option)- Fully upgradeable (max 32G ram, 6 TB storage)- Good display (If you prefer matte and no touch screen)- Good webcam, not in the bottom like all those garbage ultrabooksCons- Battery life (5 hours, not much of an ultra book, but thats because the battery is smaller so you can fit an 2.5 drive)- Touchpad isn't glass and dedicated button feels a bit odd (makes the whole touchpad smaller) but works great.- Barrel plug charger instead of USB-C

Okay performance
The CPU of this laptop along with customer installed and provided 32 GB of RAM (2400 Mhz), PCIe 500 GB, Wireless, and 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD make for a snappy little light computer with poor battery performance. Running System76's Pop!_OS makes for quite a nice experience. The laptop does not easily fit in the Laptop sized HDD -- its compartment is cramped vertically. But the display is quite pretty. It is ready for your own stickers to make the laptop's look just right. The keyboard has nice action allowing one to type, even with large hands, for hours at a time. The great thing about this as being a barebones is knowing that wireless, disk, and RAM are not soldered onto the board. So, if something breaks, you have hope of repair.I've not been able to verify the working of the Thunderbolt 3 with Pop!_OS via the USB-C even though having used an adapter which should have worked. I have not attempted the mini-display port. The HDMI output works. This is the type of computer someone wanting to do programming or CAD would want for remote work. It does not run as hot as some laptops Clevo has made in the past.It comes with scant documentation. So, be aware that if you've never torn apart laptops, the challenge for the hardware cost may get you to go to prebuilt option. If you don't have parts lying around, you might want to pick an already assembled system. It also has a slot for a cellar network internally. I did not install such a card, but its kind of cool.Update 2018-06-15: I've been doing some computation with this computer on three of the four cores. Whether running a cooling pad the temps on the CPU are below 60 degrees C, but the Mhz's on the clocks never go above 2700 -- I've not even seen that high -- even when doing computation on just one core. Intel claims that it can boost up to 4000 MHz, but the laptop is not getting anywhere close to that. So, I've downgraded my experience from four stars to three stars -- meaning its OK.The way I am checking is to use Pop!_OS's sensors program and also lscpu | grep -i mhz.It is very common to see the CPUs at only 2000 Mhz even though the temps are well below the 100 degrees. The computer is still quite a nice computer, but if I'd known I'd not be seeing 3000 MHz, I'd likely just have purchased something else.Update 2018-06-17: I did get this computer to 3191.880 Mhz today while running a compile. I'm upgrading my rating to four from three stars.
