AcuRite Portable Digital Thermometer for Indoor or Outdoor Temperature with Carabiner Clip (00333)

I love this little thermometer. It's not the lightest but it works great. I keep in on my pack when I hike and backpack (especially when I'm testing new gear) to see how my gear is performing. It's also great for when I'm working in the office. The office is always so cold and I don't know if it's just me because I'm normally cold or if it's really too cold in there. This is an easy way to show the building manager that it's below 68 degrees and probably too cold for most people.

I got this to keep in my epi pen bag to make sure I can track the temperature when we go outside on trips and errands. It seems to accurately track and store the highest temperature for a day out.I have a pouch that's supposed to keep the pens at "room temperature up to 84", which is the max that they can go to and still be safe to use. No more guessing of I have let my medicine go bad, and now if we have been in too hot and environment then I can replace the pens immediately.

This has been rock solid and reliable on camping, hiking, and backpacking trips! If it's ever jolted, though, the battery will slide just enough to turn it off. For that I have to knock one star off.

This thermometer worked fine in my house. When I took it backpacking it either was blank or showed numbers that made no sense. I tried opening and closing the battery compartment (the only way to reset the min/max) but that never helped. When we got home I put in a new battery and now it is blank, with either battery. I cannot return it as it has been over 30 days. Piece of junk, do not buy.

compact, easy to hang somewhere. accurate. easily visable.

First of all ... it is a digital thermometer. From there ... not so good. This thing is huge! Would be impossible to use on a zipper pull. It is oddly constructed ... a device inside a plastic bubble. There is no on/off switch ... so the unit is constantly on. Why? I do not need it on all the time ... and doing so lessens the battery life. The temperature reading displayed is about 2-degrees below the actual temperature ... on my unit anyway. The unit is SO VERY SLOW in arriving at the ambient temperature. I took the unit out into 6-degree weather ... and after fifteen minutes it still had not reached the ambient temperature. I cannot recommend this item.

Love this portable thermometer. It hangs in my east facing patio. Wow. It tells the temperature in this sun filled area, which is hotter than the generic local temp on my phone.

Seems to be farly accurate. good size easy to read. Hang it on my golf bag.
