This is an excellent kit. We didn't build this into an actual frame like they suggested. We built it into a closet. It worked great. The instructions have the kickboard sitting in front of the face of the bed. The kickboard helps support the back of the bed when it's down but the face of the bed rubs on the kickboard wherever you sleep, from the extra weight, and I slept in the middle so it took my paint off in a very small spot. We ended up adding a few pcs of decorative trim in hopes to help stabilize the bed better when it's down and it definitely helped. Over all this is a great kit and the pistons work great. I like that they sent the legs with a hole in the side to add a threaded rod or piece of wood in between so the legs can be pulled down in one shot instead of having to pull each leg separately. I would recommend this kit. Great value!

This type of product is simply mediocre, of the worst quality, the piston stopped working, the weight of the chamber was shaking a lot after 3 days of use, the installation is terrible, the installation manual hides the part where you have to flex this piston, in other words Mediocre, don't buy, be careful, this product is really disposable.

Two stage pistons is a big plus. Plates are of good quality.

It worked very well

The product is quality but the instructions are terrible. The in measurements don’t make sense which I’m guessing is a conversion issue. Some of the measurements just seem wrong. Attach the bed to the bottom bracket then go behind the bed with someone standing in front and measure out where to connect the top strut. This will save you time of taking it all apart because the instructions are off. I used picked holes to join my unit and make sure to secure it to the wall in multiple points on the back and not just the top like the instructions say. Also wait until the unit is assembled to measure and attach the front bottom trim. The measurements provided were not accurate. I purchased a twin size and a full size and it took me about 4 weeks working at night and on weekends. I did it by myself and I’m pretty handy but I added trim and painted several coats and sanded between coats. I had some of the cuts done at Home Depot but before starting I made sure to write down the measurement that made sense next to the one form the book. For example they have 54.9 inches which is not easy to tell the Home Depot worker so I wrote down 59 15/16 which is .93 but close enough. I used towel bars for handles on the twin size bed which seemed to work out well. They are very practical and give my office way more space. Because some of the measurements are off I had to take things apart several times

There's no assembly instructions for the murphey bed, eventhough they give board sizes to cut etc. Amd whoever drew the pictures didn't talk to the person who designed the bed because the assembly in the pics changes by the page, so you can't even try to use the images as a guide. It's super unhelpful. And the USB, only shows screwing down the hardware. I only gave it 2 stats instead of one, because the hardware itself it thick metal and seems like it will be okay. But I may update my review once I'm done staining the wood and install the hardware.
