1 of a kind device, works superbly
The SwitchBot Curtain is one of those smart home devices that just makes life easier. I installed it on my heavy, energy-efficient curtains, and it had no trouble opening and closing them smoothly. Now, instead of manually adjusting them throughout the day, I have them set on a schedule to let in natural light in the morning and close at night for privacy.Setup was surprisingly simple, and the motor is quiet but powerful. The battery lasts a long time, but I have an outlet right next to the curtains where I installed this and will likely go that route instead of the solar panel. The curtain opener also integrates well with other SwitchBot products, making automation seamless. I have it exposed to Home Assistant and it works like a charm! For anyone looking to make their home smarter and more convenient, this is a great addition. Highly recommend!

Works Great
I recently purchased this product. The setup was quick and easy without too much trouble. It was nice that I didn't have to take down the curtain rob in order to install it. The installation tutorial had both photos and videos on how to do it. After installation, I was able to setup the device in silent mode where I couldn't hear the device at all. Even though I have a relatively heavy curtain, this device was able to move it with easy while remaining silent. This is a great alternative to a sunrise clock to instead use natural light. It has a lot of different attachments so should work with most curtains.

good design just dont close consistently. UPDATE
love the way they work. the issue is they wont keep closing to the same spot. they stop short of the magnets and we dont know what to do to correct this. UPDATE -9-26-25 this seller is sending me 2 new units to replace the 2 i have that wont stop in the correct spot. I will update this review again to 5 stars if the replacements work. The seller is responsive and working to make things right.

Amazing Product, Great Price.
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant about buying these, doubting they would work as advertised, especially at that price point. But I'm so glad I did. They were very easy to set up and install on the curtain track over our sliding glass doors with our new curtains (also purchased on Amazon along with the track). These can be controlled by an app on my phone. You have to buy two of them if you want curtains that part from the middle, still a steal compared to automated track which goes for hundreds more. These can be controlled by an app on my phone. You do have to buy two of them if you want curtains that part from the middle, one for each side. Still a steel compared to automated track which goes for much more. I love that we can set this up to open and close at certain times of the day to keep the heat out of the room on really hot days. There are two speed modes, standard, which is pretty fast and shown here, and something called quiet mode I think which opens much much more slowly and quietly. I believe that mode is designed to light into a bedroom gradually in the morning without waking you up. The set of curtains shown here (also from Amazon) block UV light have a rich linen feel and look and cost about $160 for both panels, pleated, each 8 feet wide. The track itself (also from Amazon) was easy to mount. I bought enough to cover the full 16 foot width of these doors for $85. That adds up to $430 plus tax for an entire entirely new, beautiful window treatment that keeps the sun from fading our wood floor and rug in the morning .

Update, stop magnets not necessary for open/closing curtains
Update. I'm updating my review because the company reached out to me to make things right after my first bad experience with replacing the curtain 3's stop magnets and offered to send them to me for free. However, it turns out that the magnetic curtain stop magnets are not necessary to make your curtains open and close. Mine are working just fine without the magnets. Although some reviews say that the magnets make them more accurate. I am impressed that the company reached out several times to make this right and you can tell they do care about their customers. The curtain 3s are somewhat difficult to initially set up but are well worth the effort especially if you need to open and close your curtains remotely or put them on a timer schedule. I will continue using their products.

These are amazing!
These are probably my favorite product I have in my smart home. I use them with Homey Pro and they have been extremely reliable. I have them on a schedule so I can set it and forget it, but if I want to alter the schedule, it’s just a Siri command or a button click away. You can also just pull on the curtain and it senses that you are trying to manually open or close it and it just takes over. They were easy to connect and they have stayed connected. The battery life is excellent. I only have to charge them once or twice a year at most. I don’t have to remove them to charge either. I just run the charger to them for a couple hours and they’re good to go. They hide behind the curtain, so no one even knows they exist, visually. They are strong and made well. They have multiple modes to control them. You can use the normal mode, which is really not that loud at all and then there’s a quiet mode too, if you want to open or close them while someone is sleeping. I’m very happy with these and would recommend them to everyone.

It's nice, but requires extra $$$ for full automation
The product is nice, well-built, and easy to set up. But be aware! You will need to buy an extra $40 hub from them in order to connect to services like Alexa or Google Home. Hence the 3 starts.
