Nicer than the original rubiks Cube BY far.
So I am older and I have stared at these cubes forever. I never have solved one but we live in different times where youtube has easy lessons in how to. So I decided to get this "noname" brand cube. Well when I pulled it out of the package I noticed it wasnt cheap plastic. It had a heft to it too. There were no stickers for the colors and the colors arent paint. They are colored plastic. So all the reasons you would throw out old cubes are gone with this one. It isnt going to get old and beat up laying around or just normal use. Through watching youtube videos I solved my first cube 2 days ago. It was very cool.. Oh wow! I just did it - was my reaction. I still dont have all the steps memorised but I am close. If like me this is one of those things in your childhood that you never figured out and you gave up on. This is the perfect cube to practice on. I have no ambition to be a speed cube solver so I dont know if this is "Professional grade" but I can tell you with absolute certainty that all the reasons cubes got thrown out years ago are gone with this one. I like it so much I bought 2. one for the office one for home. Once I get it solved and memorized I think it will be cool to take it out from time to time. Scramble it and then solve it (should take me 5 minutes I guess when I am good) This one is a quality cube. Came with instructions to "Tune" it and tighten or loosen certain things. I didnt do any of that. It seemed to work fine out of the box for me.

Smooth, quality cube!
No need to go with a name brand, this operates just like it and I couldn't not break it when dropped or attempted to pull it apart with reasonable force. The action is smooth and speed cubing is definitely possible with this.

Seems like a nice speed cube
When it comes to speed cubes, I'm a simple fellow.I consider just about anything not made by Rubik's to be a speed cube. How the people who invented the thing continue to make such a clunky version of it is beyond me.The cubes I'm used to using range in price from about $4-$10. This one's only a bit more than that range but is about as rich as I'll probably ever go other than for something like a GoCube which, has Bluetooth and is a whole other league.I'm not hardcore enough to drop $50 on an analog cube. I just cant imagine doing that when I use these like fidget toys and have one on my desk, in my car, by my couch, etc. With that said, I just got this but have already spent a few hours with it and have some good impressions. The packaging is nice. It's not uber-luxe looking but it's way nicer than the ones I normally get.The cube itself feels good in the hand. The colors are the plastic so not stickers to wear out which, anyone who has spent time with a cube, knows wear out. The yellow, orange, green colors (see pic) are a strong neon which I'm not the greatest fan of but that's an entirely subjective thing. This is my first time with a "magnetic" cube and I can definitely feel it. It's not a strong force but when I turn the cube and line things up there is a small snap that pulls it into position. It's not obtrusive and if you do one-handed moves, it's not the kind of resistance that's going to get in your way. It's a nice step up from what I'm used to where everything basically spins freely with only friction holding it where you left it.The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because of the included instructions (see picture). they show how you can adjust the cube by doing something through one of the center pieces but they give no instructions on how to access that part.I'm assuming the special piece for access is the white center with the logo but there's also no way of telling from the instructions if that's it or not.A person more experienced in higher-end cubes may be used to taking them apart and adjusting them but this is new territory for me and it seems like some part of their market is going to be people like me who don't know how to get this this part and are afraid of breaking their new cube trying to.They felt the need to include the instruction on how to make these adjustments so it seems like it would have made sense to include instructions in how to access them. I can't find any of the center pieces that are eager to pop off.Beyond that, I'm happy with the movement and feel no need to adjust it at this point but since I apparently can, I'd like to at least be able to.Anyway, the movement is smooth, the light snap in place feels good, the use of colored plastic instead of stickers is a nice touch. I can live with the neon colors and if I ever figure out how to crack it open without breaking it, I'll come back and update but I'll say if you're used to cheap cubes or - gasp - have only ever used the original, I think you'll like this one for just a little more.
