this stuff is great. i was buying nature fuel power beets at my local sam's club but they stopped carrying it. so when i saw i could buy 5lbs vs. 11.5oz for almost $10 more. i thought i would give it a try..it is unflavored. i have to say, it wasn't bad tasting. it did taste like dust. i decided to add flavor like the other brand. i bought the walmart brand great value sugar free pomegranate cherry flavor drink mix. in both the on the go small water bottle packs and the pitcher. i wanted to try it both ways. the pitcher packs make 64oz per pack. i just divided the number of cups in in each. so it takes 8 cups for 64 oz. that is 8 scoops of beet powder in a container mixed dry. 6 packs = 48 scoops of beet powder mix. it tasted better but not as sweet as the nature fuel brand. next i tried the go packs for water bottles. that's 10 packs in a box. i found using the go packs was sweeter. in all i found this brand to be far more potent than the nature fuel brand and i have more than 4 lbs more for the price..it's a bargin. it comes with it's own scoop and that was great. i use it at night before bed with chia seeds and i fall asleep quickly and wake up energized. this is good stuff for post workouts, helps in recovery and boosts that nitric oxide. i would recommend this product and when i run out, i'll reorder again.

Love this beetroot. Tastes just like beets. I put it with my smoothies, protein shakes and coffee! It’s a great pre workout, I feel more energized throughout the day and definitely I can lift more weight with it. Very clean ingredients, just 1! Its great to lower your blood pressure, but I didn’t use it for these reasons or did the tests to compare.

Just opened this and WOW Smells GREAT! Then I transferred 4 large bulk scoops out and all had no clumps. Even if there were a few little clumps they crush back to powder easily when you use it. To avoid if any I used food grade moisture absorb packs and threw 4 small ones in the bag! This stuff is very fine powder so don't pour it to transfer, use scoop and handle it slow and carefully or it will dust the surrounding area and make a mess. I store a pint container full for quick daily use to avoid going in and out of the bag.I got 4lbs of Micro Ingredients brand 2 years ago and it was good so I thought I'd try this since it is a much better deal you can't beat for 5 Lbs. Based on the smell it is the same so buy this and eat it more for le$$! Glad I did!

- Because other reviews claimed the powder was clumped, upon receipt I first inspected the bag for punctures or tears that would have let moisture in. The bag was intact, so I opened it up. As others have said, the "ziplock" resealable feature was no longer working because the fine powder had encroached on the grooves. So, I transferred all five pounds of powder into two half-gallon Mason jars.- During the transfer, I found a measurement scoop inside. Others have said they didn't get a scoop, but mine was indeed there near the bottom of the bag. This scoop holds 3 grams of powder. (remember to compress the powder into the scoop by pressing against the side of the jar to get repeatable amounts of powder)- A teaspoon measure holds 4 grams of powder.- Powder is very fine and there were no clumps in the entire bag.- Powder has a nice "earthy" and "sweet" taste to it.

Having used beet root in a variety of forms for several years, I can commend this product for its pricing and efficacy. It does provide measurable enhancement of nitric compounds, not nitrates, with a recognizable and pleasant taste. No untoward after effects, either. One downside arises from the "rounded scoop" dosage, when there is no scoop provided. Kudos elsewise.

This is perfect for me! It was fast delivery. It tastes delicious! Natural ingredients. I use it in my protein shake every single day! Very easy to use, I just put one heaping tablespoon in every protein shake. Well worth the money!

This is my first time buying beet root powder in such a big quantity; I've always bought the smaller bags/containers, but figured this was a better value. This is also my first time buying this brand. It is very clumpy and rock-like which makes it look unappetizing. Not sure if the clumping has to do with this brand or if it has to do with it being such a big bag. It dissolves fine just like the other beet powders that I've used and tastes the same too. I usually mix it with juice or smoothies. I have also yet to find the scoop that's supposed to be in the bag; I've been using an old scoop that I kept on hand. The clumps make it hard to search for it too. I've discarded many clumps already. I will continue using it and just keep throwing out the clumps. I may go back to smaller bags after this though, just for easier handling and less mess. The zipper strip completely separated from the bag and now it will not seal shut. I am using chip clips to keep it sealed; hopefully it can still stay fresh this way and not create more clumping.
