Basic 1.25" Inch Telescope Moon Filter - With Metal Rim & Glass Lens

I'd be cautious of the reviews, I bought fairly recently on this link which was then described as moon and sky glow filter, it was all metal, glass, and good value. Clicking on the same link now it shows a different one albeit at a lower price? So basically my review is not for what now appears to be offered. I see a past review mentioned it being in plastic which again is now not relevant?

It may be plastic and it may be cheaper than other moon filters, but it does what you need it to do. For the money is more than adequate and I cannot complain about the this and it was delivered quickly.

I've never used one of these before so I wouldn't know how it compares to any other light pollution lens, but there is a noticeable difference between observing the moon without it and with it. This one does seem to put a bit of a blue haze on the edges of the moon. If that is what it is meant to do then fine. I'm not an expert, merely a beginner.

I've only recently got into astronomy as a hobby but was aware that a selection of filters is needed to enhance the viewing experience. Looking around on Amazon I came across a number of different makes all with varied reviews but this particular filter stood out as one of the best.I duly took the plunge and ordered it and couldn't be happier. It's a very well made filter with a strong metal ring & thread and a nice pale blue glass filter that cuts down glare and moon shine a treat.If you're after a well made filter for an affordable price then you won't go wrong with one of these.

Works perfectly and is exactly as described, item arrived quickly also, great service all round.

This filter is great for observation in light polluted skies, and when combined with an orange filter, creates a shade of red. It is good for observing the moon, and enhances the contrast for viewing nebulae. And for the price, you cannot beat it. It is as well made as filters in my collection costing twice as much, was supplied properly packaged in its own case and is a valuable addition to my eyepiece case. AND it arrived well before the estimated delivery date. If you are thinking of buying this, think no more, just buy.

Item arrived in good time and packaged OK the filter looks well made but I have not been able to test it as the the sky has been to cloudy and the moon has disappeared for now.
