Never had a cage before, and may never need it !!!However, it looks good and certainly makes the grip much better to hold the camera.Also it feels more protected

No photo required, SMALLRIG have done a great job themselves.Only one CON, which I'll mention at the end!Fitting is simplicity itself, remove the jingly strap anchors from the sides of the A6700, attach the cage to the bottom screw hole of the camera and use the provided tool to fit a grub screw to the right-hand of the cage, said screw going through the, now vacant, strap holder lug.SMALLRIG also provide a clamp for the Micro HDMI cable if required, easily fitted with the provided tool.The cage does extend the handgrip of the camera downward, which would probably benefit those with larger hands than my own, the additional weight added by the cage is hardly noticeable to me.A nice touch is that the battery compartment flap would be interfered with by the cage, solved by having a swing-out section to permit easy battery changes.It is a great addition to protect the camera, and to enable accessories to be positioned conveniently.Ah, yes.... That CON...The tool provided is magnetic and stored on the base of the cage for convenience... Sadly mine disappeared within a couple of weeks, maybe that magnet isn't as strong as needed?As a replacement tool (basically a flat screwdriver and a hex bit) is around £10 currently (SMALLRIG have a sense of humour!) I haven't replaced it, but the ease of losing it warrants the loss of that elusive 5th star!

value for money my Sony A6700 is now safe in my hands protected by this cage

I love this Smallrig camera cageI usually just put it on my cameras for comfort and protection But I have started to build a rig on the cage which unlocks th epotential for the camera.Highly Recommended.
