Easy convenient effective
Love this item. Easy, convenient, effective. This water bag has saved my newly planted and existing trees. I knew I needed to water more during the increasingly hot temperatures. I purchased this bag and watered every other day. Even when I missed watering I could see the slow drip kept the trees hydrated. Some of the bags have not fully emptied so I’ll do some research on whether it’s a simple matter of checking the drip holes. Overall, I love this item and will likely purchase 10 of them to properly maintain my trees through the fall/winter and into the spring. I should also mention it has saved me hours and I can now put my walking exercises back on the schedule.

Water empties at an appropriate rate; only 3 "seep" holes
Filled this last evening at 5:00 pm; by 8:00am today it was mostly empty. For me, that's the rate of watering I was hoping for, so I'm happy with that. This has only 3 "seep" holes; would prefer 5 or 6. Quality seems okay; I doubt it will last summer after summer. Years ago I had the Tree Gator brand of these donut / ring watering bag, which were excellent. But when I went to purchase them again, they no longer carry the ring style, only the upright bag style. My new trees have limbs close to the ground, so the upright bag style won't work, or I'd have paid extra for the Tree Gator brand. But so far, not unhappy with this Vego brand.

Drains too slow
Quality is good. Works good for little trees where the other taller bag-design doesn’t fit. However, it drains sooo slow, like 18 hours slow. So as it’s draining, the sun is cooking them. I stopped using them because they actually turned into mini heat packs, which doesn’t seem great for the ground and roots right around the trees. Also, they never fully drain. Each time they seemed to have 2-3 gallons left in the bag which would never drain.

These work great and are better quality than other brands!
These are somewhat pricy and took awhile to get, but it was worth the extra money and wait. They drain slow and complete, which is what I was after. I prefer this brand over another brand that I also purchased trying to save money. The other brand uses tubes and does not drain completely. The lids on the other brand are also hard to close and I lose a lot of water trying to get them closed. The lids on these screws closed, which is so much easier. I will be buying (4) more.

Will not drain out the water
These are the most expensive watering bags sold on Amazon and the worst performing. I have order several other ones that work perfectly but most of these stay full of water and don't drain like they are supposed too. I would not buy them again. The cheaper ones like these work great and like I said they are a lot cheaper.

Surprised and impressed how easy it was to use and how well it works!
I planted a young tree this spring and based on advice from the nursery I need to water it about 15 gallons per week, and this ring delivers 16! Perfect! The tree is on a small mound, and water has a tendency to shed/run off the clay soil. So I needed something that was slow delivery that could soak in. I read some negative reviews that said this is too slow, but I disagree. I set it up in mid afternoon. When I went to bed it was about 1/2 empty. In the morning it was flat. Perfect! Exactly how it's supposed to work. I also believe some reviews didn't understand how to set it up. I made sure the ground was level, added some mulch on top of the soil, placed the ring on top of the mulch. Easy! I am very happy with this purchase. As to concerns it gets too hot, I haven't noticed that, but keeping eye on it. If it becomes an issue I can put a thin cover over it to mitigate the heat; it seems thick enough even if outer part is warm, not sure it transfers through to make the water hot. Anyway, over all I am glad I purchased this watering ring!

Good but awkward to fill
These gators were good, and did what they say they would do. However, this one was a little awkward to load. It’s a screw top versus the type that just push seal. A small thing, but kind of a big one when you’re sitting in a chair for five minutes, loading it with water. Quality with certainly fine.
