Do not buy this for modern systems. It isn't a 10GTek card, it's 10GTek reselling a really old and outdated server NIC. Functionality When it works, it can work. But getting it to work on a modern UEFI system without CSM enabled means you have to flash a custom firmware edited by yourself to bring it up to standard. Otherwise on first boot it will hang the system. You'd have to remove it, go into bios, enable CSM etc then go into windows and flash the custom firmware. And even then on Windows 11, it causes all sorts of random issues like internet dropouts and kernal crashes. Speed No complaints, it can hit full speed. Value for money Given the hassle required to get it to work, i'd rather spend the extra £45 to get a proper modern ASUS branded SFP card. Ease of use Again, when it works, fine sure. But getting it to work isn't good for the average person (in fact the average person would probably just send it back.

Installed this in my Dell R710 server to give me a 10gb network connection to my UniFi US-16 XG switch. Once installed, Windows server 2019 installed the latest drivers and it was ready to go. Connected to my network switch with a copper SFP+ cable and bingo, 10gb connection.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and using Ceph. I've got 6 nodes. Three have got Mellanox Connect-X3 cards in them, two have got these Broadcom cards in them, and one has a Connect-X4 card. They all use the same 10GTek 10Gig SFP+ in them, same cables, same switch, same motherboard, CPU, ram and same OS. I see a large number of interface errors on the bond, and on the switch they are connected to. I don't see these errors on any node that doesn't have this card. So to be scientific about it, I swapped around all the SFPs to see if that was it .. nope. I swapped the ports they were in on the switch .. nope. Then I took one of the servers with a Mellanox card in it, took that out, replaced it with these Broadcom cards and boom, errors on the interface. I checked it with the other Broadcom card, the same errors appeared. I then put the Mellanox card back in, no more errors. I don't have time to go debugging drivers, I tried the latest ones, I tried the ones provided, I tried using Ubuntu 21.10 and CentOS8 and I wasn't able to get rid of these interface errors. I think this was a reasonable effort to make them work before debugging device drivers which can take forever. So I've sent these back. I should also say that I didn't notice this problem until I started hammering these cards. The ceph cluster they were in was doing 10Gbit pretty much constantly so 1000+MB/sec all the time. But it seems these cards didn't like it. Other cards I have are fine. So sadly, I'm returning it. I know all the other reviews are gleaming, when you transfer a file at 10Gbit .. it works, it transfers at 10Gbit. But if you're doing it constantly, I think you're going to see interface errors. For me, this causes alerts to kick off, and for re-transmissions to occur on the network, which isn't really good enough for a 10G network card.

I've got quite a basic PC but wanted to leverage the 10G capability of my network infrastructure, I had to change my graphics card to free up a PCI slot with enough lanes for this card. After installation (win10) it was recognised straight away, popped in my SFP+ module and I was good to go at 10Gbps! I'm getting transfer speeds of about 5Gbps when running an iperf3 test to my NAS which is great considering my limited hardware.

Can confirm that its works with OpnSense firewall. Just plug an Play. No drivers needed.

Bizare d'etre le premier français a écrire un avis ici, vu que personne n'a donner le sien, voici donc mon avis sur cette carte Double 10GBPS éh bien elle fait le travail, des uptimes exemplaires sans aucun probléme, il est même possible de modifier son fonctionnement par un logiciel constructeur trouvable sur le net Je l'ai acheté suite a la recommendation de beaucoup d'utilisateur d'un forum réseau bien connu, aucun problémes a décrarer Oui la carte chauffe un peu, je peut vous recommander d'acheter un petit ventilateur, et de le régler a sa vitesse minimale, sa fera largement le travail !

Sauber!! Hatte für den preis nicht mit einem so guten Ergebnis gerechnet. Die Karte tut was sie soll und das sogar ohne Treiberinstallation. Getestet wurde die Karte von mir auf Windows 10 und 11 und auch auf TrueNas!Scale. Bei beiden Betriebssystemen ohne irgendwelche Probleme angesteckt und läuft. Bei der Kühlung sind mir keine Probleme aufgefallen. Lief allerdings bei allen Tests in geschlossenen Servern. Kaufe demnächst mehr davon !

Velocita' e prestazione Perfette e stabilità' eccezionale la vede come scheda di rete da 10gb doppia con ip differenti e plug and Play ma Attenzione se non disabilitate la funzione del risparmio energetico si disabilita e poi crea problemi se viene montata su macchine che condividono servizi. anche i cavi sono eccezionali mai avuto problemi sono su rame ma con controller spf .

No descarto que sea problema de compatibilidad con mi placa base y se sature el bus pero lo que sé es que tras horas intentando tener una conexión de internet simétrica y hacer varias pruebas con iperf3 desde opnsense no ha habido manera y he tenido que volver al hardware que tenia antes. Cabe la posibilidad de que mi pieza fuera defectuosa. 10Gtek es una marca que por regla general no me ha fallado pero bueno, en este caso ha salido rana pero todo lo demás que he pedido esta vez y otras con anterioridad han funcionado bien

All working perfectly! Device shows a different name after driver update from 10gtek so that looks necessary. It also works plug and play in win11. 10G lan looks nice.
