Does what it should do, easy to use
LOVE IT! 365 buttons for every day of the year! Seriously, I use this to make buttons for various craft projects and functions. Works great too if you print out images in the applicable space on regular paper, just make sure the print quality is nice if you’re making a proper presentation with them. Easy to use. Fun pre made images to cut out, fun to draw and print out your own. PRO TIP: Be sure to know when to use the little black ring. I find it’s needed for the metal backings but not the plastic ones. Directions do not say any of this. PRO TIP: if making and printing your own, remember to give the circle like a 5-10 mm border beyond the image circle. You’ll need that to crimp around the plate, so remember to not include imagery in that border. Play with it to figure it out.

Well worth it!
I have been using this machine for about 6 months now. I love it. It's a perfectly sufficient machine, so I'm not sure the trouble other reviewers have had. I originally thought the base looked pretty gnarled and cheap but I later learned that the brown is protective paper that peels off. It also came with a ton of parts. I'm only just now needing to restock. There is a bit of a learning curve with the back alignment but quick to get used to. The parts are a bit cheap but still sufficient. I've had a few of the pins pop off but I think that was from not using sufficient pressure when making them. My only real "complaint" if you want to call it that, is that i wish the base was actually heavier. Sometimes when I am pressing hard, the machine will lift a little. A heavier base would keep it steady without having to permanently attach it to the surface. Other than that, I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase. I have since bought the 1in and plan to purchase a larger size soon. I produce pins for sale and have yet to have any complaints from customers or from friends/family who have received them. I recommend, but caution new users to make sure they are using it right before reporting it as a bad product.

Not sure what to think of this machine as of yet
This Vevor Button Maker machine is extremely finicky. I used the machine today to make 12 buttons, and I think I ended up tossing out approximately 6 or 7 buttons that were ruined. I was making the 58mm buttons too. The instructions are very simple, so simple that they are not too helpful at all. I had to play around with the two gaskets, noticed that the press part of the machine has too much play where it wiggles just enough to cause the plastic circular top cover to not seat and seal properly. After studying the machine for a bit, and playing with it enough, I was able to somewhat figure out the mechanical process and produce some successful buttons. However, it’s still a hit and miss for me right now. I’ll have to try to make some more buttons tomorrow and see if I can get it to produce good buttons. If not, I’ll return this machine and look for another brand. By the way, if you use your Cricut Maker machine you might want to play around with the Print Then Cut feature. The Cricut Maker Machine is reducing my dimensions and not giving me 58mm circular cuts. That’s another thing that I’ll have to work on. However, I may just skip the Cricut Maker cutting process and just buy a 2 inch circular hole punch. That might be quicker and easier than the Cricut Maker. The other issue is working with the right paper weight, and possibly type of paper too. I tried using regular paper (40 lbs) and that worked okay but I hated the print quality. Then I switched to matte finish photo glossy paper (110 lbs), and although Vevor doesn’t recommend it, it worked okay too, and the quality was pretty good. Again, I’ll play with the machine for a bit more to see if I can get consistency on it. Right now, I’m rating it at 3-stars for the above reasons. 09JUNE2026 UPDATE: After many failed attempts at trying to get the Vevor Button Maker to work, I finally said enough. I don't know what is wrong with the machine really. I can't tell if the machine has too much play on the part that attaches the shell and backing together, or if it is the seals that the machine came with. I could not figure it out. But the problem, in my opinion, is somewhere between those two areas. I even tried different gauges of paper too, and no success. The machine just kept failing to wrap the Mylar plastic and graphic correctly, and build a tight seal with the shell and the backing. I was truly dissapointed, as I was really looking forward to making buttons for family and friends. Because of this, I am downgrading the three-star rating down to a one-star rating, and cautioning folks to buy at your own risk.

Vevor 58mm button maker Orange and black
I ordered this machine because my first pink plastic one started messing up buttons and I had already bought the 75mm heavy duty Vevor one and loved it! And I also bought an identical one to this but it’s 32mm I think and they were working fine until last night the 58mm machine flew apart literally as I was trying to put a magnet / bottle opener back on one… I had ordered from Vevor… I’ve ordered all my buttons from them recently which has been a lot .. I feel like they should send me another one to replace it or at least give me a discount on a better one! Cause I really thought it would last longer - I ordered it June 24 and it tore up Sept 24!

Amazing!
This product is great. No complaints other than the fact that it gets jammed sometimes. The buttons turn out gorgeous, and there is enough accessories to make a lot of pins! The size is perfect for my backpack as well. :) The thickness is fine. If your looking for a pin maker, this is a great option :)

TL;DR: Don't buy this if you want to sell your buttons, for a hobby it'll probably be fine
Ok I've had this button maker for about a week and here's my experience: The people who have had success with this maker say that only occasionally would the maker produce an inferior button. My experience is the opposite, most of my buttons come out malformed in some way with only a few perfect ones. The problem was the mylar would not fasten correctly and would only be half-crimped leaving jagged edges (or not fasten at all and just pop off the button) while the paper crimped perfectly fine. I looked online to see what I could be doing wrong; paper thickness, speed/force that I used the machine with, paper size; and tried doing everything differently. A website said stick lube would help the mylar seal correctly so I bought some and used it according to the directions. No matter what I did there was no difference in how my buttons turned out. Most came out malformed, while just a handful would come out perfect, and I had no idea why, when the conditions were the same. Then I decided to try ordering separate supplies from a different listing and got metal backs. Using these new supplies has made a world of difference. Most of the buttons still don't come out perfect, but there is a significant improvement. The plastic backs that came with the button maker are the main culprit, the other supplies that came with the maker are fine. The batch of supplies I ordered separately came with a plastic washer that's supposed to be used on the side where you put the pin back. It doesn't make a difference in the quality of the metal pin backs so I don't use it. I tried it with the plastic pin back but that caused the maker to try and crimp the paper and mylar around the pin back AND the washer, so it looks like the plastic pin backs are officially useless with my maker. Other people seem to have little to no problems with this maker, so the quality seems hit-or-miss.

Buy it!
I was skeptical about this product because of the price but I love it! It was easy to put together and even easier to use. Every button I have made so far has turned out perfectly.

Nice button maker
I bought this button maker to make buttons for my granddaughter's Celebration of Life party. Takes a little bit to figure out how to use it, I would prefer more clear instructions. Apparently there is a video on YouTube. We had mess ups on 10 to 15 of the buttons out of 100. It would be nice if they included an extra 10 so you'd have some practice buttons, but even at that you can make 20 of them and then have the 21st button mess up. But everybody at the party did go home with a button with my granddaughter's face on it, and everyone was very happy with them. I have one of the buttons on my purse and it's holding up pretty well. This does make nice buttons. I would have preferred getting the 3-in-1 model that makes three different sizes, but unfortunately I didn't order soon enough to ensure that I would get it on time. This is Not a next day delivery item. This button maker is something I would order again if I needed the other sizes. I do like the size that I bought - The buttons are almost 2 1/2 inches across, which makes a nice button if you're putting faces on them. I recommend this model & this brand,

Works great for me
I got this button press and kit to make some buttons for my daughters school and to make some cosplay buttons. The machine works great! I have probably made 150 buttons and I've only had maybe 5 failures? And they were all user error or not pushing down hard enough *see below I think it's mostly technique that yields good buttons. One important thing to do is to use a good template for your paper graphics, it should be about the same size as the mylar. If you make the paper design too small, it won't fold under the button correctly. I made mine 40mm in diameter for the 32mm button machine and it works great. Tips: Make sure you only use regular photocopy or laser paper. Don't use thicker paper stock. Make sure you only have one clear piece of mylar on top, not two. Static can make them stick together. Press down all the way on the lever, slowly and firmly. Doing it fast yields errors. When I press down on the backing with the safety pin, there's a noticeable point where the press stops, but then you can press it further. Press down ALL THE WAY to ensure a good tight seal. Good luck!
