The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PS3)

I was looking for a World of Warcraft I could play on my PS3. To that end Oblivion did disappoint as it is a very lonely game. You spend ages walking around in a fantasic looking world but with limited interaction.Dialogue with the other characters in the game is limited and time consuming. Interaction is complicated and seems distant, they tried to make it appear that you are involved in a conversation but you feel that you are selecting all the dialogue options for the sake of it.I got quite bored walking around killing the ocassional wolf or rat and in towns things do not get more exiciting.The amount of options and specifications seem overly complicated and could have been simplified to add to the game play.I also experienced the PS3 crash when I was put in jail, I could expect this on a PC but not a console, is this software or game problems I do not know.Maybe when I spend more time on this game it will grow on me but in summary a great game to wonder about a virtual world, can be lonely and boring at times. This is not a World of Warcraft for the PS3>

Due to the limited amount of PS3 games available at the moment I decided to invest in this one until the decent titles started coming out. I didn't think i'd like it quite as much as I do... but I love it.The only major problem with this game is that my social is currently non existant, even when I do eventually venture outside the game is still on my mind, thinking about what quest i'm going to do next or how i'm going to level up a bit more.So be warned if you've got a girlfriend then this may ruin your relationship, luckily my girlfriend is quite understanding although she does have a little moan about it every now again.Buy it but be prepared to have no life.

This is an excellent game however, it seems to freeze up the PS3 periodically on loads resulting in a power off of the console - AI of characters is also somewhat confused at times. Overall a good game let down by poor conversion to PS3

1st time i ordered it didn't even arrive, and they had to give me my money back. so i re ordered, when that one finally arrived the booklet that comes with it was ripped and you couldn't read it at all, and the map was stuck together. the game constantly crashed and in the end i bought it on steam cause the quality of the disk i received was appalling.

All I can say is WOW! This game lives up to every review out there. It is one of the best gaming experiences and in my opinion if you are new to RPGs this will be ideal as your entry into the realm of role playing.It looks and acts fantastically on an HD TV. The game can be a bit jerky at times, but you are so immersed that you hardly notice it.Get it today. If you have a PS3 this is essential gaming.Be warned though, you need to spend a lot of time on it!

Couldn't get into this game. More a fan of Final Fantasy games
