Had them nearly 4 years and they are awesome!
I bought these in summer 2009, they came fast, well packaged and easy to set up.The sound out of them is immense, these are proper room speakers. The bass is tremendous, rich and perhaps a bit overbearing even on the lowest setting - the harder, structured part of floorboards is probably the best placement for the neighbours if you live in converted flats. This system sound is better than any audio stack system at a similar price than i have ever experienced. If you like your reggae like me, they are simply wonderful and handle even yahadanai and you wont miss the extra few quid over the market price of more flimsy popular units. Movies sound great too, and spoken voice whether from streaming or skype is never distorted your end. These are sturdy, solid and dependable. The unit has never broken down in 4 years or given me anything other than pure quality, volume and pleasure. I shut one of the small speakers in a door and it lost its footplate which wont go back on, but that was a hefty sudden whack it withstood (a suitcase fell from a height at the door and it was my own silly fault for putting it in the doorway) but despite the trauma, the speaker itself just works as well as it ever did, and having it on its side doesnt affect the sound quality (well not to my notice anyhow). The free-standing volume control knob is by far the sexiest bit of audio kit i've ever seen - i bought this unit for the sound quality reviews but when i first saw and touched this control i was totally smitten - yes it is smooothe, there's a lovely little click in the bass unit when you switch it on/ off and a cute but not too bright blue light on it. It also has 3.5mm jack input/ output on it, extra to the one that comes out of the bass unit and therefore distant to the bass unit which is usually under a table somewhere.Absolutely nothing about this product has aged in any way in the last 4 years (accepting the abuse involving the door), this is a great investment and i came to this page today to see if amazon still have them, because i have some savings and am seriously considering getting an identical system for when my current one does finally peg it - but make no mistake, it doesnt look like thats any time soon and i just couldnt live with anything of lesser quality, so i'd rather spend the money now while i've got it. I'm not a fan of bluetooth and the upgrade by Creative, the T6 is wireless and that just doesnt appeal to me, even though it has the sexy little control knob..Buy this product and enjoy the bass, the longevity and quality.. but dont take the last one in stock because i'll probably have it!

Good but not perfect
There are numerous good features, the size of the mid/tweeter speakers, the smooth action of the volume control with an intelligent on/off point and the small footprint for the sub woofer. On the downside, the volume control does not include bass adjustment this has to be set via a control on the back of the sub. Not a deal breaker but awkward if you want to make changes to the levels. Having said this, the bass can be over powering depending on the audio profile. Explosions and short bass peaks have real impact but get a film where the background music is bass biased and speech is lost, which is aggravated by the bass control seeming not to have an off position. On the other hand, the mid/tweeters are impressive. For a desk top system music is portrayed well with excellent highs and balanced mids, giving a competent sound providing the source is not bass biased.I am not sure if an audio equaliser would solve the low end frequency bias but I will probably give it a try.

Good Sounds
Theres no doubt the speakers give off a good sound. They also look very modern and compact. Only one criticism and that's, the control for the base is on the back of the subwoofer, so its down on hands and knees when you want to adjust it.I found that whilst playing music there were occasions when the sound became very distorted. I tried trouble shooting over the net with no luck. I looked into my system (Windows Vista) and tried the different permutations and number of speaker settings, none matched the creative giga works but that wasn't the problem. It turned out that it occurred every time the screen saver came on the pc the sound was distorted, also if I used other applications such as checking email, it interferes with the quality of the sounds. I have now adjusted the time before the screen saver comes on so I can listen uninterrupted to my music. It's a shame the speakers don't marry up exactly with the vista sound arrangements and speaker layout but they still perform well.

5 stars for the first 2 months... then HELL!
I agreed with basically all of the 4 and 5 star reviews: for a time. After less than 2 months of ownership, my Gigaworks T3 has developed a volume fluctuation problem, which I have found out is actually something they are infamous for. There are hundreds of cases of this issue all around the internet. It strikes randomly and rapidly making anything to do with sound at all completely impossible. TVs, movies, gaming - all ruined. The problem is down to shoddy parts used in the volume controller, but Creative have not once changed the design to improve it in any way so the problem is prevented. Instead, they'll just offer you the usual useless technical support rubbish "have you made sure the cables are in properly" etc, and then if that doesn't help they'll send you a new controller... which will develop exactly the same problem, eventually. You can go round and round in circles like this till your warranty runs out, when - despite the fact it is unquestionably their problem, not yours - they will make you pay for a new one every time.Don't be fooled: don't buy one of these. The quality of the sound etc etc is all amazing, it really is, but you're locking yourself in for nothing but hell from the minute these problems start.
